Disliked: Staff available via phone, but no-one seemed to be around. This wasn't a problem, but the bin was unemptied throughout my stay and toilet paper was not replaced. Didn't really matter, but would have mattered if I had stayed longer...

Liked: Was centre, clean and the breakfast and shower.

Disliked: I dont know the use and I was lost. I didnt know the use to take the key, I didnt saw the email they sent me the same day cause I was travelling. someone there told me I have to call and then I had the key. I wanted to pay but they didnt gave me the envelope for this. Some people helped me and I puted inside the key box, also I didnt knew the name or password for wifi, and others there helped me. Next time all of this will be fine. Also was dificult to close and open mi door,

Liked: Cheap and clean private Rooms - if you prefer privacy to "hostel-life" it's a cheap choice

Liked: Friendly staff. Working wifi. Sky TV in the lounge. Complimentary soap, tea/coffee in room on arrival.

Disliked: Condition of kitchens an appliances (1 working hob out of 3; chalk and rust in kettles). Ensuite shower but shared toilet, did not grasp this from hostel description on here.

Liked: It was close to the station, and also had pay and display parking close by for my car.

Liked: It was neat, clean, really close to the university, and with a great internet conection.

Disliked: My room smelled a little bit funny. Not terrible but not nice either.

Liked: I needed accomodation for a sporting event in Plymouth and it provided clean comfortable accomodation, everything we needed and great value for money

Disliked: Local parking requirements were not well instructed before arrival and the back door didn't seem to lock

Liked: The room that my friend and I shared was absolutely lovely. The important factor for us was that it was clean. The room was very comfortable and inviting, and met our needs.

Disliked: There wasn't a reception or anyone to greet you, but the welcoming text was very detailed, and was easy to follow.

Liked: Once found, it was close to the station

Disliked: The instructions on how to get there were unclear. On arrival there was no one there to meet me. I had been texted a code for a key box to get my keys. Once I had my keys the front door wouldn't open. I had been told to call the day time number because it would direct me to the out of hours number, which it didn't, and the door bell wouldn't ring so I had to wait outside to get someone to let me in. Once in, it was unclear as to where the stairs were, and somebody was playing their television so loud downstairs it could be heard clearly upstairs.

Liked: Name on sign out front is for Welcome Rest like someone else said so just keep your eyes out for that. We only stayed for one night as just traveling through but would have stayed longer if time permitted us. Felt clean, fresh and modern. Bonus with a fridge, tea/coffee, sink and wifi all available in room. There was a train station close by too.

Disliked: Name confusing.

Liked: First of all it was confusing when I arrived there, as I couldn't find the name "Derry Villa" . It is called "Welcome Rest" which is actually mentioned in the description but I somehow overlooked this. I arrived at 7PM which I mentioned in my booking but there was nobody there. You need to call the number where I got from a friendly person instructions about getting my keys. The keys are locked beside the front door and you get a code to open a little box where you will find the key. Otherwise the hostel was really clean, no bad smells. Would recommend it for shorter stays.
