Liked: relaxed atmosphere

Disliked: It is quite shabby, more a squot or a community living than a hostel: If you search for an experience like this, it is ok, but if you look for something "professional", go somewhere else. Rooms are crowded with beds and are not very clean - there is rubbish under the beds and they also do not change sheets for each guest, just the pillows. Wi-fi does not work very well, breakfast is basic (the cheapest creals, the cheapest toast bread, butter, marmelade) and half self-made. Moreover, it is situated next to a discotheque, so it is not always easy to sleep in the night.

Liked: This hostel is like no other. It feels like home. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. From the first minute you enter the place, you never want to leave. Plus, the bathrooms are exceptionnaly clean and modern. We've all had a wonderfull stay and hope to return at Oxford Backpackers soon. WE MISS YOUUU! Noémie, Joélyne, Camille and Marie-France

Liked: Amazing location between Gloucester Green bus station and Oxford railroad station/city buses stations. 24/7 access to the hostel (with a front door code). Free wifi.

Disliked: Certainly not the cleanest place in the world. Small lockers. No regular reception service from 23h30 to 8h. Weird atmosphere for some reason...

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The location was also perfect. It is just s short walk from the center of town, the university, and lots of pubs where locals hang out. The environment was also social and welcoming and I felt secure at night.

Liked: Les gens qui partageaient notre dortoir ont été très respectueux. Nous ne les avons pas entendu se coucher. L'ambiance semblait bonne, mais nous n'avons pas eu la chance d'en profiter, car nous devions prendre notre bus très tôt le lendemain. (1 seule nuit)

Disliked: Les lits sont trop collés. On a l'impression de dormir avec les pieds d'un inconnu dans la face.

Liked: The staffs are really friendly and all the hostelis confortable. The common area, a really good kitchen, good bed... you can have fun and have your silence. Th location is really good and is also safe. Everybody were nice and polite.

Disliked: The breakfast is nice but could have more options of cereals or some fruits. But is good anyway. There are not so many showers so sometimes you have to wait...

Liked: Great location~~~just next to the.bus station...very near to the city centre,,,

Disliked: Only three tlilets and showers for a few rooms of girls....very crowded.... no hangers in rooms or restroom,,which is extremely unconvinient,, the beds are small...and it is difficult for u to move around

Liked: it is very very close to the rail station and the centre of the city, which I found very helpful for any traveller. The place has enough space to just sit, read, or eat.

Disliked: The female shower room and toilets were under construction, so we had to share the same place with guys which was obviously a little uncomfortable, (for some people it won't be any problem at all though, so it will depends of the individual how they feel). One woman at reception seemed very nice, friendly, smiley and ready to help the guests but other guys, one man didnt even say 'good morning' to the guests in the morning in the corridor!, and so some stuff seemed very rude and not happy working for the guests. I was in the female dorm, some of girls from different countries were very loud and bad, they turned on the light in the bed room even late at night and after some people were in bed already! the street right outside of the building was very noisy at night, probably just drunk people, and even when the windows closed, it was too noisy to have a pleasant sleep, unfortunately. Because it is a backpacker in the city, so there are of course good and bad as like other backpackers. it is so cheap, so I wouldnt say dont stay, but just go and be happy with that you are staying a very cheap place!

Disliked: I didn't like noise from the club downstairs and an 18 bed dorm is a little overwhelming.
