Liked: The clifftop location with a view of the whole seafront is wonderful - sitting in the bar looking out over the beach, eating great food and enjoying great beer, is one of my happiest memories from St Christophers. The staff and regulars are all friendly, and the free breakfasts are basic but tasty and it's nice to start your day with a free feed :) All round, a very happy stay

Disliked: Not the place to come if you're looking to get early nights; the music from the bar reverberates through the building till late. I can sleep through almost anything and wasn't really bothered, but some people would probably find it a bit tiring. The lack of a shared kitchen was a bit of a surprise (should have read the profile more carefully) but free breakfasts offset the cost of having to buy meals readymade.

Liked: I liked the location and the view of the ocean from this property.

Disliked: I disliked the bathrooms in the ensuite I was in. The lights were not working and the drains were clogged.

Liked: Location is perfect , 50 yards from beach & 200 yards from all nightlife, BUT had nightmare booking this trip. Disgusted at the stunt they pulled by demanding a £500 deposit on arrival which i apparantly knew about (complete LIE) and the bathroom and showers where filthy.

Disliked: Disgusted at the £500 deposit demanded on arrivial ( i apparantly knew about this, which is a complete lie) and the bathrooms where filthy and it is a health & safty nightmare so dont take kids !!!

Liked: Loved this hostel! Great staff, great food, discounts on drinks, surf school next door, and one of Newquay's most popular bars right down stairs! Surf school especially was AMAZING!

Disliked: Shower wasn't the warmest or the most powerful, but still useable

Liked: I loved the atmosphere and the really good value for money . . . for example, the breakfast included in the price!

Disliked: My own concern was nowhere particularly secure to leave valuable belongings.

Liked: Great place! right on the beach and the pub food is great. Tons of beaches in the area and there are buses that will take you to Tintagel Castle. However we were sharing a room with this big group of girl and the bathroom was not cleaned often enough to keep up with the group.We were there for three ngihtsand it wasn't until the third day that they cleaned the place. Also the toilets do not flush well at all! ( the nice thing was that we had stayed at another St. Christophers in a few days before and if you save your key card you can get 10% of all food and hostel costs for other St. Christophers Inns

Liked: Our room got broken into by a drunk friend of the manager at St Christophers Inn New Quay and a friends luggage was turned inside out, although nothing was stolen but no one came to offer an apology

Liked: honestly was my first time stopping in a hostel and it was brilliant the pubs just down stairs and a stones throw away from the nightclubs and the veiw of the beach from out the window was brilliant i am deffinately going back amazing weekend and people all of the 9 people i went with couldnt actually belive the value for money definate thumbs up loved every minute of the stay
