We are one of the few hotels in Newcastle, directly opposite a metro Station which offers easy access to Newcastle City Centre, and Whitley Bay, the very popular Segedunum Roman Fort, St. James Park, the home of Newcastle United, airport and railway station, is a short journey on the metro.
Like most hotels in Newcastle, all our bedrooms have private bath or shower room, with colour T.V. along with tea and coffee making facilities.
Our rates include a complimentary continental breakfast: selection of cereals, toast, fruit preserves & butter, fruit segments, yoghurts, tea, freshly brewed regular coffee, and scrambled egg available for a hot option!
If you are Walking Hadrians Wall, we can provide packed lunches, and our large car park is ideal to leave your car for £2.00 per day. Friendly, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere are the main attractions of our hotel. We have a bar and restaurant (our restaurant is closed on Friday & Saturday evenings), ensuring an enjoyable stay with us.
We offer room service and in house laundry facilities, so that our long stay guests feel at home.
All our bedrooms are non smoking, with a strict non-smoking policy, if ignored a standard £120.00 charge will be made!
We have an internet connection for our guests in a designated area in the hotel.
Local attractions: We are half a mile from the new ‘Segedunum Roman Fort’ museum and 1/2 a mile from Hadrians Wall. The walk along Hadrians Wall is open from the end of May 2003, from Cumbria to Wallsend, and many thousands of people are expected to complete this walk in its entirety, more details are available from the tourist board.
Nightlife: The North East is rightly famous for its lovely lasses, and a visit to the bustling nightlife centres of Newcastle's Bigg Market and Quayside is a must for all lovers of lively bars and nightclubs. Whitley Bay is equally famous for its nightlife too.
Shopping: As well as the metro centre and the Royal Quays, Newcastle Eldon Square, has a huge variety of shops to keep the dedicated shopper happy. Museums and other places of interest: Newcastle has an excellent range of museums and art galleries as well as the Centre of Life; Baltic Art Centre and Millennium Bridge. Concerts and theatres: There is always something spectacular happening at the Telewest Arena, from rock concerts to ice hockey, Newcastle theatre royal, is home to the touring royal Shakespeare company, as well as all the latest productions from the West end, the Sage Gateshead, is another attraction for music lovers!
Payment Information: Please note if 3 or more rooms are booked at the same time, full payment is required by the hotel one month prior to arrival. Any cancellations made after this date will only be refunded if the rooms are re-sold.
