Liked: Everything was modern and clean. We had already booked our Fri and Sat night in the Travel Lodge Central. It was a dump and expensive compaired to Euro Hostel. If we could have cancelled our booking we would have stayed in Euro Hostel the whole weekend.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The staff was very friendly. The onsite bar and breakfast services were great. Great for a no-frills place to stay.

Disliked: My bathroom door had a hole in it where someone had put their head through it.

Liked: Very clean and modern facilities. Staff were knowledgable of the surrounding area. Parking options were just around the corner in a parking lot where the hostel can give you a dicount coupon.

Liked: location, clean, ensuite bathroom

Disliked: dinning room in windowless basement, but hostel bar did good food. locker-drawers good idea but didn't pull out fully so difficult to use.

Liked: good location and rooms were clean

Disliked: Service left more than a bit to be desired and 7am delivery for the bar downstairs was not conducive to sleep. Facilities would be better at a budget hotel for a similar price.

Liked: Everythink was very new and the breakfast was quiet good.

Disliked: The character of a hostel get totally lost. There was no open and friendly atmosphere. It was steril and unpersonal. You had to look in with your key in every room and it felt like I was in a prison. My room had no window and was just airconditioned. It was way to small for eight people. All in all: When you visit Newcastle and you like to stay in a place where you can feel comfortable and homelike - don't book this hostel!

Liked: contemporary design

Disliked: head height for lower bunk bed only suitable for young children; bedroom unheated in January; noisy guests shouting and banging doors late at night, poor hot drinks for breakfast.

Liked: Amazing! Clean, modern, great kitchen, a bean bag room to crash in if you arrive before check-in, I even got a double bed.

Disliked: Luggage room is not free.

Liked: TOP HOSTEL!! Great price, Nice newly renovated building, clean & spacious rooms, great location - 2 mins from city centre, nice bar, great facilities and very nice and helpful staff
