‘Annie's Guest House’ is a family-run Bed and Breakfast offering relaxed and friendly accommodation in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, UK. We are 20 minutes from central Newcastle via Metro (train) and approximately 30 minutes by train from Newcaslte International Airport.

We serve a full English breakfast (freshly cooked to order) from 6.30am to 9.30am seven days a week and guests are offered the use of a fridge and microwave in Annie's dining room. Special diets (gluten/wheat-free, milk-free, Vegan, Vegetarian etc.) catered for by prior arrangement.

(Using your own equipment) wireless broadband access is also available at no extra charge.

Accommodation Information

We offer a choice of single, double, twin, triple and family rooms - both en suite and using a shared bathroom but all rooms have a sink with hot and cold running water as a minimum.

All our rooms are non-smoking, have double-glazed opening windows complete with black-out roller blinds, individual temperature controls, study desk with lamp, remote control TV's with extra Freeview channels, free wireless internet, alarm clock, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuit (refreshments tray), hairdryer and shave point, big soft 'bath sheet' size towels.

Use of our guest fridge, microwave, iron and board.

24/7 access - no curfew or lockouts.

Sorry no pets or Stag/Hen groups (maximum of four people per booking.)

Normal check-in 'window' is between 15:00 and 22:00 (earlier/later by prior arrangement - please enter on the booking form or telephone in advance of your arrival.)

Location Information

We are 20 minutes from central Newcastle via Metro (train), about 40 minutes by train, and approximately 30 minutes by car from Newcastle International Airport.

Our B&B is within five minutes of the beach, parks, supermarket, launderette, main shopping area, bus station and train station.

South Tyneside is an ideal place to stay when visiting the North East of England as we have excellent transport links - we are just a few minutes drive from the the A19 motorway, the Tyne Tunnel and the A1 motorway making Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside, Northumberland, North Shields, Tynemouth, and County Durham all quick and easy to get to by car, train or bus.
