Liked: the area of the hostel was fantastic for food bars and even a very local shop the kitchen area was very ideal and great for a slice of toast and a brew to help those beer deamons

Disliked: nothing i wanted a room close to nightlife and i got a clean large room near the nightlife

Liked: The staff was superfriendly and they really cared if we found the places we were looking for in the town and if we needed to store anything during the day etc. Kitchen was big and there was enough room for everyone in the common room and comfortable chairs. The experience in our 8-bed dorm was really good, the room was big and our fellow backpackers were really interesting lads. I'd say this was the best hostel in our trip (eight hostels total in Britain)

Disliked: Really didn't like the showers at all, but they did their work.

Liked: free toast, tea and coffee all day, cumfy lounge area, close to everything, good clean showers with taps! good beds, and very friendly staff.

Disliked: no lockers in rooms.

Liked: EVERYTHING! probably the best hostels i've stayed at in the last 3 months. it's practically on the main street in the old town, so close to everything. such cool staff, they treat you like family. gorgeous murals everywhere and huge common spaces. lockers for valuables, beds are made when you get there, TWO PILLOWS! wonderful, and there are suits of armour in the lobby? love it.

Liked: Best hostel ive ever stayed at beautiful building really clean 3 min walk from bus stop. Staff was soooo nice and met awesome people too. Loved it :)

Liked: Pretty darn good. Nice dorms, great staff andf a good nights sleep.Great location too. The corridors are like an echo chamber but i still slept well.

Liked: Good value, good location, nice staff. My only small complaint is the showers. I never could get a hot shower (and I tried taking one a night also, but still pretty cold). For me, it wasn't a big deal - just one of those things. If I come to New Castle again, I would stay at the Albatross again.

Liked: A very good hostel. Beds were comfortable, big, and didn't squeak every time you rolled over. Good facilities on offer but it is a little on the expensive side.
