Liked: Seriously, this is a hostel that fulfills every basic need of a customer and definitely value for money. The greater part of this hostel than others is the entertainment facilities that are suitable for everyone especially during the night time when all shops are closed. Definitely a great choice to stay.

Disliked: The security card number required to guarantee the reservation. The email sent to the customer is not official enough and does not look very convincing. Would suggest a more professional template of email. Besides, customers should be sent a secured form to key in their security card number instead of asking to email as bank details are always a sensitive issue to everyone.

Liked: above average facilities, well kept condition, options for wifi, staff friendly and helpful, price includes breakfast and 24/7 toast and tea+coffee at no extra charge, generally very good value for money.

Disliked: Probably could be cleaned more often, although facilities were not dirty. Not sure who puts cups and dishes away, but a lot of the time they are clearly not clean. No lockers in rooms.

Liked: They have made an effort to make the hostel unique and funky, with nice modern decor in keeping with the indie vibe of Manchester's northern quarter. The staff are relaxed and friendly, and the rooms are adequate and clean. There are good kitchen and shower facilities.

Disliked: There was a slight discrepancy between the room size described when booking (4 people)and the actual size (6 people) but this was fine as the people we shared with were nice.

Liked: It's a close to the station (15 min walk with a pack) and in a good area. Breakfast and wi-fi are free, there are plenty of bathrooms although personally I hated the showers as you had to undress in the bathroom itself and there was nowhere to put your stuff while you showered as the cubicle was literally just a shower. Staff were lovely.

Disliked: See above shower comments.No lift. The rooms feel kind of dingy although the bathrooms are nice.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff, clean.

Disliked: My room had several Portuguese football fans in it who got in about 2/3 am after a night out. And stayed up in room talking loudly and making a general racket. I got no sleep at all and left hostel about 6am. It made my stay unbearable.

Liked: Shower pressure was good, water warm. Free toast, tea and coffee. Short walk to centre of city.

Disliked: I'm not one to leave negative comments but this was my least liked accommodation during my 4-month trip. I was overcharged and put into a 6-bed instead of the 4-bed I had booked well in advance. Then the male staff member refused to refund me the difference. You have to pay for wifi (which wasn't even working and staff made no effort to fix the problem). There are only 2 powerpoints in a 6-bed dorm. The showers are not very private. Staff unfriendly and atmosphere not very welcoming.

Liked: Incredibly clean and neat, awesome environment and great facilities.

Liked: It is very clean and staff try to be as helpful as possible, location was central and accessible to the places I wanted to go. It also had quite a range of events on offer.

Disliked: Pretty basic and could do with some investment in air fresheners for the rooms, otherwise its okay .

Liked: The Northern Quarter, where the hostel is, is a vibrant area full of music venues and pubs. The city centre is just a short walk away, and also Piccadilly train and bus station. The rooms are big, it is a shame that there are no lockers in the room but you can leave your computer and belongings to the staff. The bathroom and the shower are big and clean, nothing to say on this regard. There is a kitchen and a big tv lounge and console for video games. The hostel staff organize a pub crawl every Friday Saturday and Sunday, which is good to get used to the place and go out with other people.

Disliked: It would be nice there was a female dorms and lockers.

Liked: clean, well facilitated & attention to details. the dorm itself impressed if only because the door & the beds themselves were not noisy, a huge factor when sharing a room with sleeping strangers. being able to get up in the middle of the night for the loo without causing a huge noise & disturbance to others is a luxury i've rarely found in hostels.

Disliked: no marmite for breakfast!!! maybe i just didn't search hard enough!
