Liked: The price is very honest by English standards. The dorms are big enough, beds are ok, and I liked the bathroom ensuite (never found it before during all my stay in England). The whole place is very clean, and has a big and well equipped kitchen where toast, butter, tea and coffee are free all day long. The common room is nice too and they let you store your luggage for free if you arrive earlier than check-in or leave later than check-out.

Disliked: The location in the Northern Quarter is perfect for people looking for fun, but if you just want to get a good sleep, be aware that the place can get EXTREMELY noisy in a summer night when the windows are wide open and people are staying out late. Also, I can't see any reason why they should not provide free internet. This costs you 2 pounds every hour or 5 pounds a day. They also had some problems with the electronic system responsible for the opening of the doors, so to access my dorm I had to ask a member of the staff to let me through with their special cards, which was a bit of a fuss. But this is none of their fault I imagine.

Liked: Great location comfy beds super friendly staff

Disliked: Needed a bath mat in the dorm. Really expensive I would say should be £10 per night cheaper considering it wasn't busy. If u r traveling with more than 2 people a hotel would be better value. Doesn't have things like individual bed lights and only 2 power points 4 a 8 bed dorm

Liked: Great setup for people to get together and hang out. I went in knowing nobody and felt like I met a lot of people and just eating breakfast and spending a few minutes watching TV I met a great number of people.

Liked: Great showers, clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice, but closes very early. Spacious rooms.

Disliked: Wifi costs 5 pounds per day. Also, the wifi that costs so much drops out every few minutes. Total nightmare. Not the best place to meet people if you're travelling alone.

Liked: This was the first time I was traveling solo outside my country and what a perfect place to stay at. I met so many interesting and new people, made so many friends there, staff were helpful and friendly. The place was clean, the showers were working properly. Loved the place a lot and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Manchester.

Disliked: Hardly anything, may be washing you own dishes.

Liked: Clean and friendly and a nice common room and kitchen. Good atmosphere.

Disliked: The doors slammed very noisily throughout the night as people came in and out the building. Loud enough to wake you from sleep each time!

Liked: The service was so good, the toilets were tidy and the kitchen was very comfortable.

Disliked: My bed wasn't clean (I found a bottle of water, some chips, some cans of beer) and the smell of my room was disgusting.

Liked: Great location - just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. Staff was very helpful.

Disliked: If you want a quiet place, this is probably not for you.

Liked: It was great value for money, the safe were friendly and helpful, the shower facilities were amazing and everything just worked well.

Liked: The shower was so hot and powerful it made going home to my own shower a little depressing. It was very clean as well. Incredibly impressed by this hostel. The only reason I didnt meet more people is that I dont think it was very busy over this weekend I stayed only the one night but I would 100% recommend the hostel to others (I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm). Oh and there is free toast, jam, tea and coffee and juic 24 hours!

Disliked: Internet was not provided free of charge, this is definitely a draw back for travellers on a budget and a little unusual in today's day of backpacking where most places provide free net. Wifi was available but I am uncertain if it was free.
