Liked: It had stove, microwave, refrigerator.

Disliked: Have to pay to use wifi, tower, locker. And If you don't have the YHA card you have to pay 10 pounds for the card or 3 euros per day! *Is better do It out Uk so you pay 10 euros and not pounds.

Liked: We liked the fact that that there was a kitchen where we could prepare our own meal. The place felt secure and safe. There was parking for our car.

Disliked: No towel hire as advertised or availibility of towels. TOwels had to be bought at 4 Pounds each. The shower no door in a tiny room so the floor got very wet and had to mop up with toilet paper. The wifi was expensive. Most other accommodation we stayed at had free wifi. Even family run hotels.

Liked: Lobby is luxuriously furnished. The place is located beside a river so the room we stayed offers a great outdoor view. Big and cosy room, clean and comfortable bed.

Disliked: Walking to the city center takes a bit of time. Almost all the facilities offered are not for free. It seems obvious that they try to charge us for everything we use, even after paying extra because of our non-membership status. The internet service is ridiculously expensive. Not ideal for young travelers like us who are wired to our smart phones or laptops most of the time.

Liked: Meeting other nice people. Good location: near the train station, near the city center, in a peaceful place.

Disliked: There was a weird person in our room but we couldn't change our room. :(

Liked: Near the City, Friendly staff

Disliked: The bed’s. In the morning my wife and I could feel every separate bone in our body. Not any elasticity was in this bed’s. The Entrance of the bad room. A doorstep from 20 cm high is dangerous in the night.

Liked: You can book tourist stuff at the desk, friendly and helpful staff, they have a bike shed, clean self catering kitchen and bedrooms

Disliked: Breakfast not free, and not cheap either. No free WiFi

Liked: Location was the best. It was near the Deansgate station and 1 minute from the MOIS.

Disliked: No facility was given for free. Other hostels that I experienced offered internet access for free but not this one. It was understandable because the price was cheap. However, to use the locker I had to bring my own lock. I didn't expect it so a little bit embarrassed.

Liked: Stayed the night for a concert at the Manchester Academy. This was my second stay at this hostel so was easy to find, not too far from the train station and not too far from the Academy. Staff are friendly and helpful, the lobby and rooms are all very clean and there is generally a good atmosphere.

Disliked: Only one thing got me this second time round (didn't happen the first time I stayed) me and a friend got back to our room and two more people had arrived and were sleeping, more shock than anything else, but it would have been nice to know that we were sharing the room. No complaints about the guys in the room though, everything was were we left it, money/train tickets etc.

Liked: I did really like the location and the staff was really nice and helpful.

Disliked: The room smelled a bit weired, also if I'm not sure if it was because of the people or the house...

Liked: I have been to dozens of hostels but this one has been the best so far. Brand new beds and beddings, super safe rooms that only open with pre-coded card, clean, cheap, great!

Liked: No free wifi.. 5 quid.. that was very bad.. Ensuite clean bathrooms, nice staff.. they changed my room when i said a guy was snoring too loud..

Disliked: A decent walk from the centre of the city.. NO INTERNET FOR FREE.. AS EXPENSIVE AS 5 POUNDS.. :-( :-( PROBABLY THAT WOULD STOP ME FROM GOING THERE..

Liked: The place is really nice, at the waterfront, so a pretty view.

Disliked: I haven't tried it, but the breakfast seemed quite expensive. Also, it's right next to the rail, so it can be noisy at times. Overall it was alright, but comparatively expensive...

Liked: Possibly the most comfy hostel bed ive ever slept in, had a great nights sleep. locations is excellent, lots of nightlife round the corner at the locks and shopping is a short walk down deansgate...or take the free shuttle that picks up outside the museum of science and industy, also round the corner and also free! oh and free parking!!! rare in a big english city

Disliked: nothing to dislike, very satisfied customer

Liked: The location is very near to the city center in a very quiet and green part of Manchester. The price per night is very cheap and the people and the atmosphere is very nice!

Disliked: The fact to buy the breakfast separately.

Liked: that we just stayed one night

Disliked: Staff is very unpleasant. You have to pay 3 extra pounds if u dont have their hostel card,no free wifi (and so expensive), bad showers.... I couldnt recommend it to anyone

Liked: Very friendly staff, who were more than willing to provide tips & advice on key places to visit. The 4 Bed dorms were in Good condition with ensuite & key card access for extra security. Would come back & stay again!

Disliked: Only recommendation would be to have somesort of Pub crawl so that it would be easier to meet more travellers.

Liked: Location nothing more

Disliked: Could hardly sleep. People running on the floors and banging doors at all times was irritating! Change the doors!! So stiff could hardly open. After shower why no cleaning system to get the floor dry? Plus the floor was full of all sorts of hair :-( yak! Reception only had 2 nice people working when i visited. As am a foreigner and need sometimed to ask that people repeat them selves, there's no need to get all childish and mean.
