Liked: - Location - central, and still comparatively quiet/ calm location overlooking the canal, without the usual traffic noise (though occasional train, but not too loud...)- Rooms with only 4 beds instead of huge dorms and en-suite (which has a rather noisy automatic ventilation though - not so good in middle of the night...)Members kitchen unfortunately rather small and not particularly well equipped.

Liked: The hostel is located in an interesting of Manchester, among a number of criss crossing canals and bridges. Was a really nice place to take a walk!

Liked: Everything! Particularly the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! They were excellent. Always smiling and ready to help. They made the atmosphere extremely pleasant. The standards of the rooms were excellent you would not have believed it to have been a youth hostel, moreso a hotel. I would reccomend this hostel to anyone, I shall definately be staying again. 20/10

Liked: Loved the free wi-fi, wonderful breakfast, and friendly staff. The building itself is really beautiful with a neat location, and gives great value for money (hotel quality at hostel pricing). Don't reccomend paying for dinner as the meals I did have were disappointing for their price, but everything else was great.

Liked: Purpose built, lots of communal rooms. TV room, games room, bar etc. Serves dinner until 8 which is good. Nice small dorm room - only 4 beds.

Liked: The price was amazing for what is essentially hotel-standard accommodation. It was uber-clean, the staff were friendly, there were only 4 people a room (not 16 like some hostels!) Plus the location, by the canals, was great. (And really close to the centre.)
