Liked: Spectacular area around it, not too far from town, comfortable beds and not crowded.

Disliked: Floor was already dirty on the way into the room & computer use was terribly expensive.

Liked: It was clean and had a nice big cupboard to securely lock your bag away

Disliked: EVERYTHING had a charge. We've been travelling for 3 1/2 months and this was the first place that we had to pay for wifi and for them to hold our bags. Not good value for money at all.

Liked: Great location by the canals, not too big so easy to make friends, nice layout, great and helpful staff, decent size dorms with en suite washroom, the beds are not squeaky, luggage storage is large and in the same room

Disliked: the charge for internet, wifi, games

Liked: The general look of it - You didn't go into a drab building! It was light, clean and with nicely arranged rooms. ...The decent showers were a plus too (since I ended up extending my stay by 3 nights...). The food was delicious - but quite pricey.

Disliked: The price of the internet. And other rowdy guests who set off the fire alarms and ran around in the hallway at midnight...I don't believe they were suitably yelled at.

Liked: Is nice and clean.

Disliked: Please, notice that if you have not a Young hostel car you have to pay 3 pound for each night. We didn't now that information before arriving.

Liked: Very close from the city centre and Old Trafford as well as situated in nice neigbourhoud! Clean and comfortable rooms too.

Disliked: Bathrooms are very small and sloppy, shower almost not working,... Yha's located pretty close from railways and you get often waked up by swan's screams from down the canal...

Liked: it's secure and only 4 beds per dorm with private bathroom. There are lots of rooms so you might be lucky and get a whole room to yourself.

Disliked: the dorms smell very badly and although the beds are clean but the carpet and bathrooms weren't. It's a huge place so you're not very likely to meet new people. You don't get offered and services not even tea and coffee. The worst thing is there is no free internet or wifi, must pay for both.

Liked: Very clean considering the turnover of visitors. Excellent reception area with seating opening on to cafe area. Reasonably priced and fair quality meals to buy. Interesting and convenient location.

Disliked: Constant piped music in reception area. Rather small members' kitchen with too small fridge and not enough cups.!

Disliked: I've paid 3£ more than the price cause I didn't have the card of the hostel and I didn't wanted to pay for it. the bathrooms to small and a litle dirty

Liked: Very clean, nice rooms.

Disliked: Way too EXPENSIVE for the services offered. I mean, 20 pounds (23 with the fee) and no breakfast or internet and it's far from everything? That is far too much to pay for just a bed. I'm pretty sure my friend and I could have found a decent hotel in Manchester for 46 pounds that would have had better ammenties.

Disliked: breakfast itself and the dinning room were ok, and therefore expensive. But quite ok.

Liked: Modern , cheap ,free parking in front of the hostel, location not too bad; does the work. Good size of the rooms with lots of cupboards.

Disliked: There is a kitchen with oven, microwave, BUT very little fridge , no plates, glasses, knives ,forks, spoons, only 6 chairs...a big hostel with a very little kitchen. I found in my bed hair and a small toy...do they change the sheets?? The smell of the room and corridors. Very dirty carpet. A place to stay one or two nights MAXIMUM.

Liked: really big and modern and in a good enough location. great value for money.

Disliked: it is about a 20 minute walk into the city centre and train station which was not ideal for carrying luggage. i stayed on new years eve and the check out time was 10am but considering it was new years day i think they could have extended it! also, rooms dont cater for girls getting ready for a night out- only one plug socket in a bed room and a tiny mirror!

Liked: Clean room, shower and bathroom. Comfortable, clean beds, and good sized room. Has everything you need. Very friendly stafe who offered great advice about things to do in Manchester. 24 hour reception is great.

Disliked: Little out of the way from the city. Kitchen was dirty and equipment was old and hard to use for cooking. They need a 'free' sign in the kitchen so you have somehere to put your unwanted food when you leave. Also plaing the recycling bins in the games room is a bad idea as most people opted to just put everything in the general waste bin in the kitchen. Disappointed that they charged for use of Wifi - this should be free in a youth hostel - especially at such a high rate. Cafe is hotel prices too.
