Liked: The service was very fast and efficient. Location ok.

Disliked: It was not clean, especially the bathrooms were filthy. Toilet flush was not working, we had problems with hot water (either too or only cold water supplied at times). Rooms very crowded, badly arranged (stayed in 8bed room), lockers not safe.

Disliked: one lady on reception was quite unhelpful. rooms were fairly cramped and ensuite bathroom was absolutely tiny.

Liked: Location of Bayswater Hostel is very good, nearby underground, bus station. Room was nice, clean, window. Reception open 24 h.

Disliked: Breakfast was not good, not many to offer. Had to go to reception many times, because the card of the room did not always work.

Liked: Great location, you can train\bus\walk everywhere, also great internet access and 24hr reception.

Disliked: When we got there the girl at reception was in a bad mood and seemed to stay that way over the weekend, but all the other desk staff were really very friendly.

Liked: Cet hotel est vraiment le must du must pour un séjour à Londres, aussi long soit-il !J'ai vraiment apprecié cet ambiance chaleureuse, a partager mes soirées avec les autres coloc' de ma chambre, ce sentiment d'appartenance qui nous brise le coeur quand on quitte l'hotel !

Disliked: Le départ, un moment vraiment déplorable, c'est fou comme on s'attache !

Liked: Liked: it had free breakfast and a good location...thats it

Disliked: Disliked: everything else...rooms were too hot, very unsafe, staff didnt speak much english considering this is an english speaking country. Weren't too friendly either. As soon as we got here my partner asked to go to the toilet and they got angry thinking we wanted breakfast. Then we asked where a 'lounge area' was and they gave us directions to the laundry. Not comfortable, no place to sit and relax and there was a charge for EVERYTHING.

Disliked: Staff not very friendly, stayed on the 4th floor which was being painted while we stayed there, woken up at 7.30 am by EXTREMELY loud painters, on a Saturday morning.Wouldn't stay there again but you pay for what you get.

Liked: I liked that Royal Bayswater Hostel was really cheap and the location was good. However, we stayed in a 20-bed dorm with two bathrooms in horrible condition. With 20 people using them they were unclean in no time. People would come and go all through the night, which is not really the problem, as one could expect that when there is no curfew - which is fine! But maybe the hostel staff could encourage their guests to keep their voices down in the middle of the night. Maybe just from midnight to 5 in the morning? Just a thought. And maybe there could be a rule that says not to use spray-on deodorants in the dorms!!!!!!!

Liked: Everything had a price at this hostel, to weigh bags, internet, lockers, day storage etc. Awesome location though just a minute walk to Queensway and a 3 min walk to bayswater tube stations. Opposite a park and bus stop out the front. Very noisy in my room as was facing the main street, bayswater rd. Breakfast was crappy and finished at 9am. Was a very odd hostel, I got there at 8am and they told me it was too early to check in, yet several times during my 2 week stay people were chcecking in to my room while everyone in the room, inc me, were still asleep!

Liked: Very close to tube stations, shops, and the museums. The staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing - I tried renting a locker, and after trying three different keys (none of which worked) I got my money back. Otherwise, a reasonable place to stay.

Liked: friendly stafff. private room breakfast was delicious (although for my first 6 mornings I was actually entitled to this private breakfast but was told to go down to the communal/dorm breakfast area, which was quite unpleasant as a non-dorm/group guest). the location is Excellent. very convenient for central london, notting hill, hyde park, paddington etc. Queensway is also saturated with good, cheap places to eat and drink and pubs and starbucks with wifi.the internet area at Royal Bayswater was really good too, but the PC's ALL need software upgrades.My room was not cleaned very regularly while I was there. The tv didn't actually tune into any stations no matter how hard I tried or where I moved it. The dorm guests were SO NOISY and the walls are paper-thin, and my bed creaked SO much that everytime I moved I woke up! The towels (bath and foot) were really just old rags. the lift didn't work very often either unfortunately. But overall the staff and the value for money were definitely worth the stay.
