Liked: Good selection of facilities.

Disliked: They charge you for everything - 1.50 for internet, 1.50 for a locker, 4 for a towel - things that, if I had known they charge for in advance (at least the locker & internet) I probably would have booked elsewhere. Also, they were pretty unhelpful in terms of pointing out good places to visit, knowing what busses would take you where, stuff like that. Also, the ensuite bathroom was REALLY small; I would have preferred a common bathroom with more space to put your stuff down and which would have kept the noise of the water running out of the room. Generally, I think you could get a better hostel for your money.

Liked: If I would say that this hostel is perfect I would definitely lie. But still it offers good value for money, rooms are worn down and beds are squicky, but the ensuite bathroom was clean and the breakfast was basic but all you needed to fill up your tummy.If you are really looking just a place to crash in a fantastic location (hyde park and queensway tube across the street) then this is the place to be!

Liked: Cheap and exellent location. The staff was friendly and reception was open 24/7.

Disliked: Beds were squeaky and some pillows were very bad. Small room were poky particularly bathroom but 12 peoples room was bigger and there was more space.

Liked: 24 hr reception so when i couldnt sleep any longer from the noise in the room, i could check out at 4am! Also, excellent location

Disliked: The toilet was so revolting in the 20 bed dorm (room 104). You think they would ensure this worked considering how many people were using it.

Liked: very nice staff, great location (bus station is in front of hostel, and underground station is very close)

Liked: The price of the dorm starts at £8 though everything else is chargeable at high price (didn't affect me at all) 24hr reception counter is fantastic as I'm not sure of my actual arriving time, this gives me flexibility to arrive at anytime.

Disliked: the bed is not very comfy and make a lot of noise when you move. Besides, the pillow is very soft to me. There is only one shower room in a 20 bed dorm, I guess it is not sufficient. The kitchen at the basement is big however the tables are not very clean.

Disliked: the facilities in the room, for example bed is not well taking care of.

Liked: It was in a fun part of town with a lot of cheap Asian restaurants that were delicious. The metro is also very accessible.

Disliked: There is some road noise at night, and luggage storage costs 1.50 pounds a day. The breakfast is also nothing to phone home about.

Liked: The location was great.

Disliked: Breakfast was really simple, too simple. Cleanliness was not perfect, but I can understand that such a big hostel can not be perfect cleaned even if they clean everywhere each day.

Liked: It was easy to catch the buses, there were many shops around the area and there was a lovely park across the street

Disliked: I found a rotten moldy banana in my locker, it wasn't the cleanest, and the toilet never seemed to work correctly

Liked: That I could pay cash.

Disliked: I could not book a room using the hostels site, that's why I booked it with hostelbookers. Although I could pay cash, I had to make the booking with a credit card, which was a problem, cause I dont have one. So I first had to find someone to let me use his. The breakfast wasn't the best ever, but ok. They had toast with jam, coffee, orange juice (tasted like diluted) and cornflakes. I wasn't able to lock our bathroom door, which is a problem in a 8 bed mixed dorm. I had to put the litter bin in front of the door to keep it from sliding open.
