Liked: The location is pretty good, 5min walk to Hyde Park and 20min walk to Oxford Street shops. Also it's 5min walk from Paddington tube station, which is really well connected. Breakfast is included in the price, and it's what can be expected considering it's a hostel. It's toast, cereal and youghurt, so does its job. Can get a bit crowded though. The staff friendliness was ok - could have been worse, could have been better. It was good to have security lockers in the room for everyone, and they're big enough to fit a standard carry on bag (mine is as big as the airlines allow you to have). You need your own lock though, and it needs to be a tiny one. Unless you want to buy one at the reception. Also water pressure is good in the shower and there's always hot water.

Disliked: The 8 bed female form room I was in was SUPER small/crowded. If anyone had their backpacks/bags open, it was impossible to move around. I can imagine that if anyone came there with a suitcase, they would have some serious trouble even finding a spot to open it, even only temporarily. They charge extra for several things - towel (£2 per stay + £2 deposit), internet, paying by credit/debit card (£1 per night - I don't understand how this is justified), lock for the security lockers etc.. Every bed has a bedside lamp, but mine did not have a light bulb, and I reported this but didn't get fixed over my 2 night stay. Also they're apparently school group friendly - and I'm not, ha. There was a huge group of very noisy and rowdy teenagers running about the hostel the whole evening, and the walls are really thin, so it was impossible to sleep before they finally shut up. I might stay again if can't find a better place, but still prefer to stay somewhere else next time I'm in London.

Liked: The staff was very helpful and they had a lot of activities listed that you could do.

Disliked: The location wasn't the best- safe but not central. Also it wasn't very conducive to meeting people.

Liked: Staff here is pretty good, they are friendly and helpful. Great location. Nice ensuite rooms. There was a police officer hanging around during the evenings so it felt very secure.

Disliked: I was surprised at the amount of older travelers staying here. Wasn´t a great atmosphere to chill out in and meet other people. A huge group of school kids stayed here and they were pretty loud. Travel/activity desk is seriously lacking.

Liked: It's really close to Paddington tube station and to the city centre as well. When we arrived we had very heavy luggages and the man at the entrance helped us and brought them to our room. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: We were 8 in a mixed room: I had a problem with one of the roommate.

Liked: We had a pleasant stay at the hostel. Breakfast: toasts, four flavors of jam, two flavors of corn flakes, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee. The staff of the hostel is very nice and there were no problems in cheking-in at 4 a.m. (Additional plus from my girlfriend: hair-dryer in our room :))

Disliked: Our room was of decent size but having the bed near the window I was freezing every night (12 degrees centigrade during the day) despite wearing four layers of clothing. Furthermore, the beds were a bit uncomfortable and creaked with every move. The bathrooms could use a slight renewal. You have to pay for the Internet, a padlock for the locker and a socket adapter, so it's better to bring your own.

Disliked: Too ''corporate,'' i.e., one had to pay for everything except breakfast: there was NO welcome cup of coffee/tea, no free 15'' of Internet, no ''soul.''

Liked: Does the job. Good value for the money. Great location.

Disliked: No bar, no common area, no way to meet other backpackers that are not staying with you in the same room.

Disliked: I'm sure this place is better than I had experienced but I just got put in an unlucky room. The breakfast room is really cramped and overcrowded - with the line sometimes going all the way out up the stairs...

Liked: Great hostel. Nice neighborhood and 3 blocks from Paddington station. breakfast is really good. Very clean.

Disliked: The eight bed room is actually a a 10 bed room with 2 bathrooms. Wifi is not free but works ok in the rooms.

Liked: Great location - an easy walk from Paddington Station. Hostel staff are professional, friendly, knowlegable and helpful, and my 6 bed dorm was immaculately clean and had a strong, hot, pleasant shower!! Which I needed badly. Breakfast is basic but is included in the price and does the job. Definately deserves a 90%+ rating.

Disliked: The rates are a bit high (I would have stayed longer if not so expensive) also, they've got that Global Gossip Wi Fi, (i.e a bit exxy if you're only staying one night).

Liked: Accomodation is very clean and warm and has facilities I didn't expect in a hostel like tea kettle and hair-drier, huge storage cabinet and large mirror

Disliked: The ladder to the upper bed was not convinient to climb up, the walls were quite thin to hear neighbours

Liked: It is located in a very good area and you don't have problems to reach it from the tube station,especially when you are visiting alone.

Liked: Location. Breakfast. Overall modern style. Spacious locker boxes are inside the room at each bed and one should use own locker (feels safer).

Disliked: No internet connection included in the price - one can buy at the reception to connect to public GlobalGossip Wi-Fi from any room, or stay at a computer - offered to pay per hour (computers look good, but it's expensive comparing with what one can find around). No kitchen (for those who like/have time to cook). The lift is small and sometimes too busy.

Liked: It's a nice clean building. Rooms have bathroom in each.

Disliked: I stayed a few weeks ago and thought i'd come back, only for the fact they have a great kitchen. I checked back in, walked down to the supermarket to get a microwave meal, and when i got back was told the kitchen is no longer available to use. so inconveninent. wasnt even told this when i checked in. they've closed the kitchen down completely over some regulations. bought a can of baked beans to heat up in the dining area, because they put a microwave out there, but i got told off for even using that. why the hell have one there if you cant use it. will not be going back.
