Liked: Negative: the hairdryer and straightner advertised were out of order and you would have had to pay for 7 mins of use, the room was a little small when considering luggage and there was instant coffee for the breakfast which maybe isn't that appalling to most people but I was a little disappointed :) But I have to say that mostly everything else was positive. It is literally two seconds away from a metro stop, the staff was INCREDIBLY awesome, there were hot showers, drink deals for guests...etc. They even stay open later just for guests, basically kicking everyone else out but guests can stay up and drink till whenever. The breakfast wasn't anything extravagant: toast, cereal, tea, 'coffee' and jams, definitely sufficient for being free. Not really located in the coolest area but super easy metro and bus access. I read some reviews saying it was loud till three or four in the morning but I never heard anything after they closed the bar to non-guests around 11:00. We had a very pleasant stay and I would consider staying there again.

Liked: Security - you need a card to get inside the house and to your room. Breakfast - I spent there always an hour, working on internet and having a slow breakfast.. nice..

Liked: The location is great - two doors down from an underground stop and walking distance from the train station, restaurants, etc. The rooms seemed pretty clean and secure, but the bathrooms and shower could have been better - they did not appear to be cleaned every day. The bar was comfortable, the staff was pretty friendly, and the drinks are well priced. However, since the bar area is open to the public until midnight, there were some creeps hanging around at night.

Liked: I was worried about the Green Man after reading some of the reviews. However, my friends and I loved the hostel! It was not the cleanest of places, but definitely not the dirtiest by far. There were safes to store our passports, etc. Everything who worked there was awesome. And we made friends with the people in our room. Perfect for college students!

Liked: The door security was nice, but no lockers to hang your coat or your luggage in, you'll be forced to either have it on the floor or in your bed so don't come to London if your looking to shop because this hostel offers no space for your stuff. No individual lamps, so if your looking to have some reading time, think again. People do read books and sit by their computers. There is only one light and that's the room main light. But besides from everything else, it's a pretty okay hostel, some of the staff were real nice but there was of course one dude who had a cocky attitude. My recommendation: It's okay for a smaller period of time but i wouldn't recommend it for a longer period.

Liked: The staff was really nice and helpful, and the location was good. It was very easy to get there by walk, underground or bus, and it's central enough. The first night I don't have any complaints about, but the second night I thought the voulme from the bar downstairs was a way too loud and made it almost impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. I think that was the only downside. If it is like that I wouldn't recommend it to people who actually wants to sleep.

Liked: The showers are free running, which becomes a big deal when you have spent so long in hostels that you have to keep pressing a stupid button :) The beds are sturdy and comfortable, probably the most comfy I stayed in my entire time travelling in hostels. Staff are very helpful, never rude. The only downside is that there was no self service kitchen just the pub restaurant, and also no place for hostel stayers to sit and lounge (also only place available was in the pub which is also open to the public). Otherwise a great stay very handy to the tube and I would definately recommend!
