Important Information

The following applies to all stays over New Year's Eve (31st December 2013): a minimum 2 night stay; and 50% non-refundable deposit payable at the time of booking, The non-refundable balance will be payable one week prior to 31st December 2013.

For all other bookings, a 10% non-refundable deposit is taken by Hostelbookers. Please note, that a £10 key deposit will be charged upon arrival at the hostel and refunded to the guests when they return their room key on departure. For cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to check-in at the hostel, the rates for the first 2 nights will be charged. For No-Shows the rates for the first 2 nights will be charged, also.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival (local time). Payments made to HostelBookers are non-refundable.

Fantastically located on the famous Strand in London. With the River Thames behind you and the lively West End in front of you, you will have an easy time finding everything you came to London for. Why not walk over to world famous Covent Garden and choose a show to go and watch in 'Theatreland'. Take a stroll across nearby Waterloo Bridge to see what locals and taxi drivers alike call "South of the River" and all it has to offer, the magnificent London Eye, the cultural South Bank and the famous Waterloo station. There is so much to do in London and so close to your hotel that you'll be hard pushed to find a better place to stay!!

Not only is this little gem well located it is also steeped in history and well facilitated. Originally established as a friendly meeting place for diplomats in London in 1946, the Strand Continental retains the same informal and casual atmosphere today.

Facilities also include a relaxed 1940's styled bar and restaurant perfect for meeting other travellers!

All rooms have washbasins, shared bathroom facilities, linens provided and dorms are all mixed. Sorry, no lift!
