Liked: The location was perfect.

Disliked: It was clean but worn out inside, carpets need changing, walls need repainting, everything inside the building needs to be redone.

Disliked: The kitchen must have more utility (some of them have toaster, cooker hob, etc... )

Liked: It is cheap and in a good part of London, close to the tube, shops and pubs.

Disliked: There is no cutlery in the kitchen, and the Internet is quite expensive.

Liked: Location is the only good thing about this hostel. Otherwise nothing. Would not stay here again and would not reccomend to anyone.

Disliked: Staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Extremely dirty - showers are covered in mould and dirt. The whole place is old and filthy. No security. If you are desperate for accomodation it is ok for a nights stay but definitely do not reccomend.

Liked: Location was good. Manager was nice enough to gove us a private room even though we paid for a dorm.

Disliked: lack of atmosphere was the major problem. Building is run down.

Liked: staff was very polite

Disliked: it was extreamly dirty in the room and in the bath room. there is a lots of the stuff in the bathroom that was not working correctly. Had even the feeling that the sheets are dirty!

Liked: good location not far from underground and supermarkets/restuarants

Disliked: not great place if your travelling alone and want to meet people. doona covers do not get changed when guests check out (and they smell) most cupboards in kitchen are locked, very limited cooking utensils/plates etc for such a big hostel lots and lots of stairs! long walk to go outside for a smoke

Disliked: toilets were not clean and bedroom were cold.

Disliked: Kitchen did NOT have any cutlery. They seem to expect you to buy your own knives and forks.

Liked: LOCATION-the only one thing, which was good! Few mins to tube, cafes and restaurants.

Disliked: Everything! Unhelpful and rude staff, small and dirty rooms, dirty toilets and showers just terrible, no free towels, breakfast and common area very uncozy, dirty ktchen(haven't even try to cook there). While staying there we didn't have hot water for two days. Instead of female room- got a room with an old man obviosly over 35. After moving to another room next day with other girls, in the evening realised that the same man is moved to our room by "friendly" staff. If you plan to stay in this hostel, check something else with the same budget. It's better to pay more sometimes, but at least stay in a normal place with normal atmosphere around.

Liked: Location is great.

Disliked: I reserved budget private single room, and got superior private twin, what could sound like good thing. But there is no chair in the room. If you want to read something or eat, you must stand, because other there is second bed to low so You cannot seat on the lower one(bunk bed). I got dirty room with garbage all over the place. The room was not cleaned before I arrived - no clean sheets. The place smelled very bad. I asked two days in a row to the reception staff if please someone can come to clean the room, but there was no response. I asked for Internet access like is stated on HostelBookers, but there is NO Internet access - at least not in a room and area I was. They had machine with Internet cards, but no 1€ cards like it was said on the reception, but only 5€. And when I bought this card, I could not access the Internet because signal reception was very low. Even for the key, there is a deposit of 10€. So NO Internet, dirty room that was not cleaned, not enough staff for so big hostel. From about 50 hostels/hotels that I stayed in my life, this one is the worst. Day before, I stayed in Barkston Gardens(50 meter from Youth Hostel), and for the same money (cca 55€), I got great 3 star hotel that was wort at least 5 time this Youth Hostel.

Liked: Great location for the easybus to Gatwick. Basic but really cheap. Good value.

Disliked: The layout of the building is quite confusing!

Liked: the location is very comfortable, 3minutes to the tube station and the district also is very good. the price too is quite equal respect the service offered.

Disliked: the neglect of the infrastructure, particularly of the showers, and the toilets and showers are too few respect the people the hostal could accomodate.

Liked: The price is incredible, it's so nice to have the option to stay somewhere so cheap. The location is fantastic, right near the train station and all the shops and bars. The staff were incredibly helpful and really nice. Also there are security cameras everywhere which was great, a bag actually went missing while i was there, so they looked through the tapes and found who took it.

Disliked: The wifi was really expensive, they had computers you could use quite cheaply but it was kind of annoying not being able to use my computer without paying heaps, i was fine though because at least there was the other option. The kitchen wasn't really usable, there were no plates or utensils, next to no pots and pans, no fridge or cupboard space that wasn't locked for staff use and the stove was really bad, i wasn't able to cook anything on it because it couldn't get hot enough.

Liked: Staff was friendly, but not really competent.

Disliked: The bed linnen was not changed, you could smell and see that people slept in it already. One toilet was broken the entire time, one was full of mould, i always chose to walk all the way down the hall to a decent toilet. shower had no shower head and smelled like lacquer. the room was ok, but not really nice. kitchen had no plates and barely any cutlery, so prepare to bring that yourself or buy it. pans and pots were in a really bad condition.

Disliked: No services/facilities at all. No spaces, difficult to move and also reach the room because narrow staircases and corridors.
