Liked: the rooms are clean and tidy and the beds have curtains

Liked: location is good, as are the facilities. people are helpful. the breakfast is basic.

Disliked: the rooms are very very small and in some of them they squeeze triple level bunks in. they also charge a tax when you arrive.

Liked: Great location for transport links; en suite rooms basic but clean and functional; very basic breakfast but at the price anything was a bonus; Free baggage store & 11am checkout both appreciated. Oh, and a pub next door.

Disliked: Receptionist had to cash up at end of shift (3pm) so we had to wait 30 mins to check in; filter coffee and orange juice would have made the breakfast really good value.

Liked: Nous étions dans une chambre de 6, pas grande mais correctement répartie, il y avait 3 lits superposées et un casier pour chacun, la salle de bain est dans la chambre, toujours propre, chose non négligeable!

Disliked: Les lis ne sont pas hyper confortable, donc gros mal de dos le matin et l'équipe est très moyennement accueillante!

Liked: bunk beds were the most solid i've ever come across, and each bed had curtains for privacy. small details, but made a difference!

Liked: Good location within easy access of a number of underground stations and Hyde Park.

Disliked: The attitude of the staff upon checking in and the checking in policy of requesting picture id which was not mentioned at the time of booking or stated on the e-receipt and as UK residents booking into a London hostel we had not expected to be asked this and so it wasn't available. Very unhappy about the unexpected payment of VAT in addition to the figure that was misleadingly stated to be the "total balance payable upon check in"... we therefore paid an additional 17.5% and would not have stayed there had we known this to be the case. If this was misleading to us then we imagine it comes as a shock to the many young foreign travellers staying at the hostel when checking in. There was a sticker on the bedroom window which clearly stated to ensure that the window was to be closed when leaving the room. We left the room for the day with the window closed and firmly locked (there is a screw lock on the sash style window) only to return to find that whoever had been in to service the room during the day had left the window wide open thus leaving the room insecure. Breakfast is offered but it it very basic (only toast or cornflakes) and the staff on the breakfast bar didn't appear to understand me or speak English when I spoke to them. The bedroom was very hot although a small fan was provided but the position of the electrical sockets made it's use impractical or beneficial.

Liked: 24 hours, good location, reasonable price.

Disliked: Beds are too short, I am 1,90 m tall and the beds are shorter than this.

Liked: The location of this property was excellent! Close to two Underground stops, Hyde Park, and plenty of shopping and places to eat! It was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Our room was very tiny, but still a good deal for the time and money we spent there.

Liked: Location in Bayswater area near to Hyde Park was great... also very close to the Queensway underground.

Disliked: The mixed dorms were not very comfortable. It would be better to have just separate male / female dorms... NOT mixed. The dorms were also a bit small for 6 people with no table and television in the room.

Liked: Proximity from Hyde Park.Proximity from bus station and 2 tube stations.Quiet.

Disliked: The beds made noise with litle movements of the body. The pressure of the water of the shower was very low. On one day the cleaning service put the dirty towels that were on the floor of the bedroom on the place of the clean towels, in another one they forgot them at all (problem solved by the reception!).

Liked: The location is pretty good: the tube is close and the neighborhood is friendly.

Disliked: Rooms can get really hot in the summer (small room, single window, no air conditionining). Two of us arrived in a room for 6 with only 1 free bed and staff couldn't really help us out in this situation... so we took a bed and when we got home that night we got into an argument with a person who said it was their bed. Turned out that someone checked out without taking down their sheets - I think this is something staff should take care that leaving guests take their dirty sheets out when they check out so that these confusing situations are avoided.

Liked: when we arrived at this hostelat at first , we were not comfortable to hear about the tax.. but the early morning we left for liverpool, unexpectedly we were offered the breakfast from kind staffs working in dining room..sum up, we recommend it to others..!!!

Liked: good location, very cheap

Disliked: Rooms were like a sauna. Worse thsn when I stayed in India. For this reason only Iwould strongly advise not to stay here. We slept about 2 hours in total, and it wasn't particularly a hot day.

Liked: The most important privilege of the place is its location 3 mins away from Hyde Park and 15 mins away from Oxford St. and Marble Arch (on foot)

Disliked: The VAT is not inclusive in the price announced when you book so you have to be cautious and add 17.5% to the price
