Liked: Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Matt & Stacey. The Bar is guests only and safe. The cultural location which is eye opening to say the least.

Disliked: The showers and bathrooms are illogically placed and the space is very small. Mirrors and hooks (essentials within a hostel) are scarce in the 'bathrooms'. There's a continual tussle between the sound of the radio and TV in the bar area.

Liked: great helpful staff who were very friendly, breakfast is absolute bargain (includes cereals, breads, croisant, juice..)

Disliked: quite far from everything; metro travel necesary, beds very creaky, bathrooms need maintinence (smelt and faulty locks), internet very very pathcy (eventually gave up on it at all, thankfully there is one computer with a cord connection but often being used), 14 bed rooms have three storey bunks, you will hit your head. just naccept that now.

Liked: Reasonably nice staff, reasonably close locating to center of London

Disliked: I had a terrible experience at this hostel. My friend and I booked for 3 nights but only ended up staying for one. We stayed in a 9 bedroom dorm (one of the beds was a scary triple-decker). While we used a normal bunk bed the mattresses were awful. The springs dug into my back the entire night and every time someone moved the beds made a huge amount of noise. Also, the room was extremely dirty: the windows and sills were black with grime (on the inside) and the bathrooms were disgusting. There were only two bathrooms per floor. Our floor had one which was broken so we had to use the ones downstairs. There were barely any mirrors and if there was one it was placed too high and was too small to be of any use (I am 5"1' and they were placed at at least 5"6'). My friend and I decided that we could not sleep at this hostel for any more nights but would switch to another instead. We recieved our money back for the last night, but were told that we would only be reimbursed for the following night if the beds were booked and that we would receive an email or call lettin us know if this happened. We did not receive any communication from the hostel the whole day and came back in the evening to be told that the rooms were booked but the current person working at the front desk had no idea what was going on so we could not get our money back. We had to email the owner of the hostel to receive any reply. After emailing, we were told that we would only receive our money back after 5 days because it had to be approved by the manager's accountant. This is useless to us because after 5 days we of course would no longer be in the UK and even if the money was sent to us we would then have to pay to get it exchanged to a useful currency. We booked our two remaing nights at Palmer's Lodge Willensden and, even though we stayed in a 22 bed room, had a much better experience. TL;DR? THIS HOSTEL IS TO BE AVOIDED, GO TO A PALMER'S LODGE INSTEAD!

Liked: The place is actually in a good location and it really is close (specially by underground) to many interesting things. The staff, specially Scott, are great helpfull and really nice. The beer is quite cheap also (for London standars) which is never a bad thing. The common room with a T.V. is a comfortable place to be. Finally, our beds were rather comfortable also.

Disliked: The showers are really not very clean and hardly enough, as are the bathrooms in general. The hostel is not very iluminated by the outside. And well, all those things that are said to be free and aren't, such as lugagge room and lockers. The room is also rather small and there's just no place to put your lugagge.

Liked: It was a place to stay, and the staff were quite friendly. Drink discounts in the pub, free wifi.

Disliked: The beds were not good. Squeaky, springs were poking me, not head room. Breakfast was extra, not a real convenient location, though close to the tube. Multiple showers/toilets but 80% were out of order. Wifi doesn't reach the rooms, only the pub.
