Liked: Good breakfast for 1.5 pound. And the location is great.

Disliked: The rooms are TINY, in six bed room there is literally no space for stuff. Beds are really squeaky and there were even bugs in one which was out of order in our room. The staff was half interested to help us solve the problems with rooms we had (even though we were the group of 6 and had reservation for the 6 bed room, they seperated us in two rooms). The organisation is quite confusing, they put a guy in friend's bed while we were out in the city cause they taught it is free even though her stuff were on the bed. Everything looks much older and ruined then in the pictures. This was the worst hostel I've been to so far.

Liked: -Friendly staff -Nice bar -Some nice backpackers -Laid back atmosphere -Fairly clean downstairs toilets -Fairly quiet at night

Disliked: -The wifi access created an antisocial atmosphere where the majority of the backpackers there were glued to laptops and notebooks. -The lockers provided were a little too small for myself, but alright for some. -The beds are not installed with individual laps, so if a someone comes in late at night, they have to use the main light to see. If you are on the top bunk, as the light has not shade ans is fairly light, it'll wake you up. -Some of the showers were really pungent, and the room to change in was fairly cramped -While at the bar I noticed quite a few beds were double booked, and on returning to the hostel on the third night, found that my bed in a 6-bed dorm had been given away and I was moved to a larger dorm with only a pint offered as compensation.

Liked: Good genuine continental breakfast, even though you had to pay extra for it. Excellent shower facility, reliable wi-fi access

Disliked: Some of the guests never knew when to turn off their laptops and go to bed (not the hostel's fault, of course). The three-bunk dorms weren't the most comfortable and there was a lack of space for storage.

Liked: The staff MAKE the hostel, they welcome you like its their own house not just the job, the day to day assistance they provide makes it a hostel i would come back to any day. there is always a friendly smile first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Its so good to finally find a hostel with good hot water pressure. the 1.50 breakie is a winner. i would like to thank each staff member for making my transition a fantastic one.

Disliked: would love more food storage and 24 hour bar

Liked: Great location and very friendly staff. Great selection of board games. Matts nightly scrabble tournament was refreshing to say the least. Also recommend 'Jungle Fever' if your in the mood for something different. Rooms now have new lockers which is nice. Matt was also very forthcoming in carrying my heavy bag to my room. A true gent.

Disliked: Bathrooms could do with mirrors and there is a lack of kitchen facilities. Also lack of blinds in some bathrooms gives them a certain 'peepshow' vibe.

Disliked: Guess I grabbed a bed with a popular spot because it's pretty worn down.

Liked: everyone here was very friendly and the location is great, easy to get to from the airport and close to many buse and tubes for sightseeing. the hostel is cleaned twice everyday and there is a good breakfast available for just one pound!

Disliked: SNORING

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay with Phoenix hostel, the staff were friendly and very accomodating, Stacy and Scott both helped with my questions, and mad my stay fun, and homely... its very reasonably priced and I would definitely come back

Disliked: it would have been nice to add free breakfast to the cost, but at a mere 1 pound 50 who's really gonna complain... thanks guys!

Liked: The price was quite cheap. Staff was friendly.

Disliked: The room was tiny. With two bunk beds of three, there is hardly any room for luggage. Some of the mattresses were appalling when others were quite good actually.

Liked: I had a great time here. The staff were superb and the atmosphere was second to none. Scott was notably helpful during my stay and helped with with all my tourist quieries.

Disliked: all good

Liked: The location is extremely convenient, the dorms are comfortable and the showers were clean. However by far the highlight of the trip was the staff (Stacey and Scott in particular) and the rest of the hostel-stayers, who made this a fantastic experience with their friendliness. In addition the hostel offers free wifi, a cheap breakfast and free tea and coffee in the bar downstairs. A great experience all the way around.

Disliked: The only disadvantage I found here was that some of the toilets were out of order during my stay, and often the showers were full for most of the morning.

Liked: Very edgy! Cheap bur clean, you get what you pay for. Great! Would defo stay here again!

Disliked: Some toliets could do with modernising and there needs to be a mirror put in either the bathroom or a bedroom.

Liked: Location was good - zone 1 and not far from the tube. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was fine even though you it was payable.

Disliked: The shower and toilet facilities always seemed to be full for the morning rush and were a bit musty.

Liked: Good position close to the station. Scott was really nice helpful! The breakfast was also a great and easy way to start the day for only a small additional cost.

Liked: Great character and staff. Matt's superb and even took us on a free tour of Londons hottest night spots. Great priced bar!

Disliked: Bathrooms could do with some tidying up and a severe lack of mirrors. Rooms also need new lockers as most have locks missing or lack of keys. The ability to use your own lock would be benificial. Pillows also very thin.

Liked: El trato personalizado y cercano que ofrecen, y el desayuno que por una Libra y media, es come lo que quieras comer :P Aparte, siempre tienen Té, café y demás gratis para los que alquilan... y por la noche se agradece algo caliente.

Disliked: Es difícil de encontrar, está entre dos calles, y a primera vista parece un pub..., con un cartel mas o menos decente se aclararía la cosa mucho.

Liked: Location is good, just around the corner of an underground station. Breakfast is well worth the 1.5 pound.

Disliked: The showers are very small, so are the rooms. The beds are very squeaky. Also the walls could use a paint job.

Liked: i was in London for a 2 night stop over on my way back home the staff made us feel very welcome and friendly especially the manager jonathan and nicole. i found the hostel to be in a very good location close to the train stations :-)

Disliked: nothing!
