Liked: Great please to hit for a couple of nights, bathrooms need a bit of improvement, I think thats the only detail. Thai food is great! It really served the purpose those nights. I surelly come back

Liked: Very nice place, discount on drinks and food at the bar is very handy. The owner is very friendly and so are the rest of the staff. The beds can be a bit uncomfortable and some of them are rather noisy. showers are not very clean and very small (they literally are the size of a closet) but if you are the first one to shower you'll be alright.

Liked: Beside the dirty toilets and showers, it has an great atmosphere. It is a good place to meet new people. The staff was also very friendly and helpfull.

Liked: The place got some atmosphere. Its seems to be located iin a safe area. Bar Staff is very firendly, kitchen staf is very unfriendly. The cleaning was horrible at times.Cleaning facilities are often out of order.

Liked: greate staff, grate thai food at the bar, 20 % off drinks for bagpackers, a plus for cleanliness and security,there was a guy watching the hostel all night. deffinetly will go again

Liked: Great location, right by the tube and within walking distance from central London. Bar in the same building as the rooms, with discounted beer for guests. Bedrooms small but clean. The staff was very polite and friendly.

Liked: Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds and a great atmosphere. Great prices in the Irish/Aussie Bar with a fantastic Thai menu. Thanks for a great stay.

Liked: The bar is nice and offer discount on the menu and drinks. It was a good place to meet people altough it was quiet most of the time. The breakfast they offered was very decent.

Liked: Easy to find and close to the tube - thats about it, the rest was dissappointing - expensive, dirty, noisy, no curtains, dirty dishes at breakfast.

Liked: We had a good two night stay at Phoenix, however it is very basic - our double room was incredibly small and it looked like the mirror and shelves had been ripped off the walls, the double duvet was given to us in a single duvet cover; however we didn't really need it as the room was very hot at all times due to the hot water pipe running along the inside of the room. I didn't see any of the other dorms so I can't really comment on them. The showers were nice and warm, bathrooms weren't the cleanest though. The chap who runs the place was helpful and friendly, but I don't think I'd go back - there's little to do around the hostel itself and personally I'd rather find somewhere nearer the nightlife next time - stay in Camden instead!
