Liked: First of all, considering its good location and provided services, the price for dorm room bed and breakfast was very cheap and good. I also enjoyed wifi internet before breakfast and the staffs were very kind.

Disliked: The walls outside of bedrooms were little bit old and seems to need painting. The shower pressure of one bathroom was little bit weak.

Liked: Cheap, free lockers in room, friendly staff.

Disliked: Unbearable heat in the room (impossible to sleep), noisy beds. Woke up really tired.

Liked: Awesome location. The breakfast is really good value for money! Really nice and helpful staff.

Disliked: Showers+toilets could've been nicer.

Liked: Good choice for breakfast and very cheap. The staff were a good laugh, especially Matt the manager who took a lot of time to help me out. Made my stay that little easier. Quiet location and competant staff added up to a good experience!

Disliked: Wish it had better late night transport links to east London.

Liked: The location was great, the common room was very cozy, especially the leather couches and I enjoyed the movie night loads. the staff we're great, especially the night porter, very helpful people. Would definitely stay again.

Disliked: There wasn't a kitchen facility, only a fridge and a microwave. Would have been nice to have a kitchen area.

Liked: The staff were very helpful when checking in and willing to give advice on your stay in London.

Disliked: The bathrooms were a bit grotty but they were being refurbished during the time of our stay so they may be a bit nicer now. Our room also was tiny but as we were out all the time and staying one night, it didn't really matter.

Liked: Such a great atmosphere, helpful staff, located right next to the metro so was super easy to get around, great value for money.

Disliked: The rooms were pretty small, maybe 1 less bed would have done the trick.

Disliked: Wifi while good did sometimes go really slow but fixed itself within a minute.

Liked: Staff very friendly including the owner who even took us around the local area and showed so,e tourist stuff. Rooms clean and comfortable and internet for everyone to use. Fantastic for the price, would recommend without a second thought.

Liked: Very close to some great attractions, staff was really helpful, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Perfect for a good weekend in London.

Disliked: Showers were a little cramped and was hard to close the door.

Liked: The hostel was clean, staff very friendly, free internet access (both wifi and a hostel computer), breakfast very ok (allthough not included in the price it was cheap)

Disliked: there wasn't too much space in some of the showers and beds. it wasn't clear who's bed is who's and 2 times i found someonelse sleeping in my bed. it didn't bother me at all, but my companions didn't like it.

Liked: Everyone at this hostel was really friendly. Good location. Wifi in the lounge.

Disliked: The room I was in was tiny. You had to pay money for the lockers.

Liked: The location - within walking distance from the bus stop to Stansted Airport.

Disliked: OK for budget travellers but a bit dark and gloomy.

Liked: I loved the ambiance and the staff who worked there, jonathan one of the staff he's a great guy and a big plus to the hostel stay. Breakfast was very good and very cheap. It also has a bar downstairs!!!! ill be back sometime early next year

Liked: Fun times at the phoenix! Hats off to the Irish owner and manager jonathan. Warm, welcoming and a good central position to see everything in London. Sufficient number of bathrooms, cleaned regularly. Good sized rooms and a bar downstairs. Improvements were taken place while i was there, i would like to come back ans visit.

Disliked: WIFI did drop out but it was fixed fairly quickly, im picking at small things. Seriously good Hostel!

Liked: I stayed for 2 weeks last year at the phoenix backpacker hostel. Location was undoubtedly the best, nice safe neighborhood and in the center of London. Second was the staff, they made me feel at home it was a real joy to stay here. I had great nights with jonathan, nathan and deen. The girls were amaizing too

Disliked: wish the bar was 24/7
