Liked: The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than just pastries and coffee (which is more typical for European hostels), and the atmosphere of the hostel definitely added to our London experience.

Liked: Free wifi, free breakfast, friendly staff, individual lockers, and clean toilet (this is important!). Located near Waterloo station and underground. Perfect place to stay!

Disliked: None. Nothing that I think of.

Liked: Helpfull and nice staff, free wi-fi, central.

Disliked: showers are not so great. Trains just outside the window but I didn't have a hard time to sleep.

Liked: This hostel, although a bit rough around the edges, I really liked it and I have to say having stayed in so many hostels over the years the staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful and friendly....this makes all the difference to a travelling experience and I would highly recommend this hostel for this reason.

Disliked: It is a bit grubby but thats because the building is old and prob could do with re-decorating....however, perhaps if they did this it would loose some of its charm :-)

Liked: Cleanliness, kitchen, individual lockers, location, You can literally walk anywhere into the London center by foot from there. Extremely helpfull and nice staff, I don't think I have ever met such warm and helpful people. Especially Alex and Mik (I think?) were amazing. Breakfast was good compared to other hostels.

Disliked: The showers and bathrooms in general were pretty bad, and in the last few days i stayed there, the water pressure was extremely weak and the water itself was scalding hot. In one word, the showers were atrocious. There was also no sitting area after midnight, so if you wanted to do anything else before going to sleep, you had to do it on the staircase or in the corridor as the kitchen and bar were closed after 11.

Liked: The staff was really helpful. They were friendly, gave us a lot of tips about London, were to eat, were to go. They provided us lockers, plug adapter and cell phone charger. They even let us use their phone for a local call! I recommend it.

Disliked: Well, nothing to complain. I needed to use a computer. They have a computer room, but it was close due to upgrading. You can see that they are really working for the guests. Maybe some may complain about the close train station, but it is not a problem at all.

Liked: amazing staff... very helpful and friendly. so much to do within proximity of hostel yet could easily stay in lounge and enjoy atmosphere of travelers. renovations being made. very close to london eye and big ben! do hostel group activities which was great.

Disliked: showers have hot water but make sure to choose one that has a lock- you never know who will pop in

Liked: The staff were particularly helpful, making sure that I was looked after in every way. The bar downstairs, including the bar staff, was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was good. No complaints at all.

Liked: Amazingly friendly staff, very helpful and always smiling. Location is really close to some awesome landmarks, and a nice walk to other places in London. They are starting to refurbish new rooms and put in better security so cant wait to stay there next.

Disliked: A little old and dingy but you learn to love it.

Liked: Great Location! There is a pub downstairs too where in the mornings you have your simple,but tasty breakfast. The place is clean and staff is very helpful! Would reccomend Walrus:)

Liked: Location is excellent,so close to Big Ben,London Eye,Thames and other popular attractions. Was very pleased with that!

Disliked: It was prettty sketchy mostly becuase the lighting in there is literally from a horror movie.

Liked: Its close proximity to Westminister Abbey and the other sites. Walking was an ease. Alexander and the rest of the staff were MOST helpful with questions we had about which bus to catch, times places were open, good deals and what not. When we checked in were given ear plugs to help block the noise from the Waterloo train station along with a electrical adapter if you needed one, now I call that service. We had read the review and knew of the noise so it wasn't a surprise and actually wasn't that bad. After a long day of playing tourist we just fell into our beds which were clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers and the bathrooms were clean. Another nice addition was the pub downstairs, a great place to sit and talk over the events of the day. We enjoyed the neighborhood which had plenty of shops and local eateries away from the mainstream 'tourist' restaurants. I definitely would stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Disliked: My only complaint was not enough electrical outlets in the rooms and none that I could find in the shower area.

Liked: Unusual little building, no obvious signs that it's a hostel. When you enter you arrive into a lively little bar, full of character, the staff all have moustaches :S. Good location and nice for the price.

Disliked: Breakfast was minimal. Building is built onto a busy railway bridge, the non stop trains are noisy but stop at night. Slept fine but there was some partying and had a number of drinks before crashing, woke at 9am. Good alarm clock to get you up and see the city I guess.

Liked: The pub downstairs is reaaally cool, a great atmosphere to have some Guinness. The subway station is only 3 minutes away from the Hostel, the breakfast is very good.

Disliked: Some problems with the water in the showers, there is no dining room.

Liked: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was spot-on, right in the middle of London - close to the main sites/attractions. Having a bar downstairs was quite convenient; it had great atmosphere and always seemed to be busy at night even during the middle of the week. Lockers in the room - yay. Accepted credit cards.

Disliked: No front desk - wasn't sure who to talk to when first entering the bar and no staff were around at that time; a small desk in the corner wouldn't hurt. The shared toilets were difficult to enter/exit - you had to straddle the toilet or stand to its side to get out; if you were a large man/woman, it would be extremely difficult to access. Pillowcase was stained yellow from overuse (kinda gross); I would suggest using bleach or replace.

Liked: The location was amazing. So close to everything we wanted to see, plus a major tube location.

Disliked: I've never stayed in a hostel so I don't know what to compare it to. I can't say I disliked anything because my expectations were open.

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities, while a bit old, were clean.

Disliked: I found the constant flow of traffic and its location near the train station to be a bit too noisy, even though I was tired after a full day of activities. If you're a heavy sleeper, you should be fine, but if you are a lighter sleeper or are more sensitive to noise, I would suggest a different hostel.
