Liked: It is a great location and there is a bar to hang out and get to know people.

Disliked: It is right under a train line but they did not keep me up. I did not hear anybody complain about it.

Liked: Location is very central - short walk to Westminster with most of tourist attractions, very short walk to Waterloo station (underground + trains to Heathrow). Good wireless connection, all other points as advertised. Felt quite welcomed by the staff who showed me around and also offered some general tourist advice.

Disliked: The negative side of being located very conveniently by a train station is obviously the noise of the trains. With a pair of little foam ear plugs I was sorted out and slept just fine. Overall not luxury accommodation, but facilities were all of a decent standard. Good value for the money.

Liked: The walrus is a great Hostel, I definitely recommend it to any London travelers, simply for its atmosphere. Below the hostel is the Walrus bar, and it's just such a great place to meet travelers and locals alike. I would definitely stay again, in fact, I already tried to, but it was booked up!

Disliked: The hot water went pretty fast...

Liked: It was a great location, right near tons of cool stuff to see in London (Parliament, Big Ben, museums, etc.). The staff were super friendly and very helpful to me in answering my questions about getting around and seeing sights. The bathrooms were really clean and the property felt very secure (the doors were double locked and you also got a locker for valuables). It also seemed like a great place to meet other travelers; even though I was only in London for less than 24 hours I was able to meet some fellow travelers in that short time with whom I got along swimmingly!

Liked: Alex and the 24-7 pijama guy were really nice people. Always helping hosts with everything they needed. Great breakfast. Kitchen was a bit dirty but well equiped. I recommend this hostel.

Disliked: We didn`t find the hostel until we realized the front door was in the bar in the corner. We stayed in a room in front of the train station and we couldn`t sleep well at night.

Liked: The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The accommodation was clean and it was a great place to meet new people.

Disliked: The noise from the trains, but you get used to it after a while!

Liked: The staff were very friendly, and more than willing to try and help out and answer questions. The location is within walking distance of the Eye, and Parliment.

Disliked: The location is horrid, loud train noises, screeching, and banging all night long, and early in the morning; making it impossible to sleep, or want to hang out in the building during the day. The rooms were not clean, dust and dirt around the entire outside of the room. Mold on the ceiling and surrounding the shower. The blankets, Pillow cases, and Pillows looked and felt like they we 10 years old. No meeting room, or planned activities, so you do not get a chance to meet anyone from the hostel. The bar is open downstairs, but majority of the people in the bar are not staying there, since beer prices are high compared to other bars around the area. The bar also closes early most nights(Usually before 11).

Liked: It was very clean, no bedbugs here. Bathrooms and showers on every floor. Bar downstairs to meet other travelers, that serves free breakfast in the morning! Full kitchen for travelers use, and computer available. Oh, and bedding is provided free. The staff was unbelievably helpful, even when we had to check out at 3 am- there is a bell you can ring for 24 service if need be. They were always happy to help us with directions and good places to eat. There is also some really cute restaurants for like 4-9 quid a meal, an Iceland grocery store (cheap & good,) a post office, bakeries, and a really cute thrift store all on the same street. It was quiet, even though there is a bar down stairs and train tracks outside I never had trouble sleeping. It is a 8 min walk to Big Ben/Westminster and the Eye and there are two tube stations within a 3 min walk. After much research I chose this hostel, and couldn't have been more pleased. It is truly the best deal you're going to get for your money in all of London. It is better than some hotels I've stayed in, and I was in the 16 person dorm, too.

Liked: Perfect location ,5 mins walking distance to the Parliament. Friendly staff. The recommendation of stay is for travelers looking for simple lodging at moderate expense.
