Gillan HughesNot in the best part of London, far from the city center. 5 minute walk to the under ground then a 20-30min trip. Room 1 gets a lot of road noise, no complaints otherwise. |

Yngvar BrennaIt was suitable for my purposes, since I don't need much luxury and a bed is sufficient. It was fine that I could put my food into a fridge and the staff let me use the computer at the reception once, although it wasn't meant for public use. |

Zuzar GandhiClean rooms, Toilets and Showers. Friendly staff, and very helpful indeed. Fresh Clean Sheets, Decent sized dorms, (not the typical crampy ones..!!!) Well ventilated and big windows as well.. Safe and secure... No hassles. No extra money charged if u drop in at the door at any time of day or night without a prior booking. and very competitively priced. I loved the place for the package... great services offered at amazingly low charges! Clean, Safe, Friendly and Nice... What more would u want from a hostel???? |

Ben AustinThe Hostel was near enough to Woolwich Arsenal DLR station that I could take the train into London after a short walk. |

Customer reviewStaff was very kind and helpful. Probably one of the best managers I experienced on my 1 month trip. It is a walk up a street on a hill to the place from the train stop. Is 30min from the heart of the city. Clean rooms. Has full kitchen, place to hang dry clothes. |

Jessica SivertsenA pretty run-down place at least an hour on the bus from London (or pay a small fortune on the overground train). Dorms aren't too bad, kitchen is adequate, common areas are pretty grim. The staff, however, are wonderful - very friendly and helpful. If you arrive before 11am/after 11pm be prepared to wait out on the street while intermittently banging on the front door. Take some time to explore the Woolwich Arsenal areas, especially the Arsenal gate, old factory, and riverside. |

Jens van de MaeleInconveniently far away from London city centre: about 40 min by train (from London Bridge station) and 50 min by DLR railway (from Bank station). What you save on the price of the accomodation (which is, taken on itself, decent), you have to spend again on railway tickets (and on your valuable time -- time is money, indeed!). Also, the absence of lockers in the some of the rooms is rather annoying. You need to have a lot of trust in people when you decide to leave your valuables behind when you're out for the day. Last remark: the disance between the hostel and the train station isn't five minutes walking, but ten. |

Annika SchneiderAs I am a live-in carer, I need a comfy and nice place to stay between assignments. the queen vic provides this- the staff is always ready to help and always has a smile for you. I've met lots of new friends and had so much fun, I will most certainly be back. I've stayed in this hostel serveral times before, and it's always been fantastic, by now it's almost like coming home. |

Erin WallerPlease note the location before you decide to book this hostel! It is on the far west side of London, the last stop on the train line. This is the only reason I think you shouldn't stay here. Otherwise, the services were good (free wi-fi, well-stocked kitchen, clean rooms and bathrooms, very helpful staff). |

RAHMAH IBRAHIMIt is worth the money you spend for the stay. Now, with the DLR Woolwich Arsenal is open, it is much easier to get to Central London. There are also Halal groceries near the hostel. It's also near to Arsenal Gatehouse which is around the block and morning market nearby is also fantastic. Bus stop is just opposite the hotel with a 24hrs bus service(bus no. 53). What else can you ask for? Running hot water 24 hrs, kitchen to cook...and the list goes on. The bathroom and toilet is a bit small but hey, it's just bed & breakfast. Receptionist is also helpful. Will recommend others to stay. |

Customer reviewGreat Staff, Bad Location-Traveling from the Netherlands to London, my friends and I decided to book the cheapest hostel we could find on HostelBookers. We ended up staying at the Journeys Queen Victoria property. Overall, the hostel itself was a good deal for the money; the room we stayed in was complete with 8 bunks and 8 lockers for which we payed about 10 pounds a night. There were two showers, a kitchen and one bathroom in our hallway, and we never had to wait to use the facilities. Most notably, the staff was incredible. They helped us map out our trip and gave us information about what routes to take in an attempt to save us time and money. Being that my friends and I were virtually the only girls staying at the hostel, the staff even told us that if any of the guys staying gave us any problems that we should notify them immediately and the situation would be remedied. Of all the properties I've stayed in through the duration of my study abroad, the staff here were the most helpful. However, I probably would never stay in this hostel again given the location. It took about 50 minutes to get to the city by bus, and the drivers often stopped driving at certain locations, requiring passengers to switch forms of transportation or wait for the next bus to come. At most, it took us almost 2 hours to get to the city (a series of unfortunate events including the bus requiring all passengers to leave twice and a ton of traffic). Very bad for a night out, or even trying to get to and from the location for quick breaks or showers-you have to factor 2 hours into your schedule for a round trip visit. Overall, it was a good value for the money, and if being far outside the city is no problem, I recommend it. Cheers! |
