Liked: Good central location, close to the tube. Washing machine facilities are very useful.

Disliked: there is absoutly no ventilation in the rooms, so if it's a warm day outside the room is baking hot & doesn't cool down. Also as a group of 4 friends we were not able to get our deposit back until the last person checked out, so not so handy if you have different departure times. Also annoying to access facilities if you're on the 3rd floor.

Liked: Excellent staff, always ready to help.

Disliked: Unreliable internet connection, "continental breakfast" was just toast and jam, showers were quite low quality (even for a hostel).

Liked: Low cost, great location. We ordered places in a 12-bed room and got a 6-bed room with 2 hot girls in it :) Most of the staff was ok and at least one counter guy was awesome. The rooms, toilets and showers were working and clean enough.

Disliked: Short beds if you're taller than 1.80m. No ventilation in the room (just a window) so it was a bit hot. The showers are in the end of a maze of doors underground... and when you shower you need to press the button constantly to get water. Breakfast is pretty crowded and there's not enough places to sit.

Liked: great location, really close to the Contiki Headquarters, and close to the Russel square underground station.

Disliked: the showers are way down at the bottom level, very far away from rooms in the upper floors.

Liked: This hostel is in a great location within walking distance of oxford st, I found the staff friendly and very helpful.

Disliked: Very expensive for the few services available. Showers and bathrooms were clean, but generally in a bad condition, which is just as unpleasant as them being dirty. Beds are small and there is very little space in the room once all beds are occupied and luggage is brought in.

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: We stayed at the 3rd floor and the showers were on only on the floor - 1, so to get there we really needed to go downstairs =/ The breakfast was basic but a mess mainly during the weekend.

Liked: Nothing really stood out. A few members of the staff were friendly and helpful though.

Disliked: It was dirty and occasionally loud. I had to change rooms twice for a 5 night stay. The breakfast is nothing special. The beds are short, so if you're taller than 5'6" you won't be able to lay flat on your back. The location, while bad, wasn't great. You can find a better place for the same price/location.

Liked: Hostel is exceptionally clean - the staff do an excellent job to keep the place spotless all the time. You would be hard beat to find a cleaner hostel than this one(and I have stayed in over 50 hostels before so this is saying something). The hostel is very large and lots of people make the atmosphere very good. The hostel has security people on the door at night so you feel really safe. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone. Free WiFi is a big plus to(safes you having to sit in McDonalds). The staff are very friendly and helpfull.

Disliked: The 4 bed dorm was a little crowded when the room was full.

Liked: Extremely close to transit although the lifts at this stop were quite annoying to wait for.

Disliked: Quite an early check-out time and charge for luggage storage. There were always a lot of young students and groups of people that crowded up the common area so it made it hard to use the kitchen facilities or to just relax. Also, the wifi signal is suuuper weak.

Liked: Better breakfast is definitly recommended like boiled eggs and breakfast until 11am! More dishes and cutlery available as i had problems finding some to use!

Liked: Location is fantastic, rooms are clean, tidy and not too over crowded

Disliked: The wi-fi was really really poor. To be honest, the reliability of the wi-fi is something that may put me off staying here again

Liked: Cheap and okay location. Clean enough. Comfy bed (though very small!). Some of the staff members were sweet.

Disliked: Bad vibes, no personal atmosphere. Was better in the evening with people hanging in the lounge, but it felt a bit like a prison or at least like some old school building. They charged for security lockers and luggage storage. The building was like a labyrinth and I found the hostel to be arranged in a very unpractical way. Like no sinks in the loo, showers in the basement, lots of doors you couldn't exit through etc.

Disliked: short size bed and not some funny smell at some part of the hostel

Liked: I liked the location and the beds were quite comfortable.

Disliked: Simply the staff put me off completely. The night staff were particularly rude and unhelpful, seeming to have no authority to do anything, deferring to either one member of staff there at night (who couldn't even do that much more) or referring you to the morning shift (which was simply to shift the workload and not because there were staff with greater authority in the morning).

Liked: relatively good location

Disliked: There is a 0.5% surcharge if you use your credit card, you have to put in a 10 pound security deposit in cash, the staff, although nice and well meaning, take AGES to get to and accomplish anything, and I didn't really find the "pod" beds to my liking, but I can't complain for the price. It's also a little to big

Liked: good location. very close to underground and very central.

Disliked: the duvet covers clearly hadn't been washed. luckily it was very warm and i didn't need to use mine. also the £10 extra deposit needed on arrival. other hostels in london don't require this.

Disliked: the beds are to small. if your taller than 180cm you wont fit in the beds, getting to the showers was like going though a maze

Disliked: bit of noisy, but could stand it.
