Liked: Good location, 2 minutes from London Bridge Tube. Clean showers and toilets, secure. Liked the free toiletries-soap/ moisturiser/ shower gel/ make up remover-not sure about the shaving kit!!!Check in was easy-efficient, friendly, helpful staff - though had to walk past Oasis from Underground station to check in at St Christophers Village, then walk back again. I didn't get to try the breakfast, so can't comment on this.I'd consider staying here again.

Disliked: If you read the St Christophers Oasis website, They use a lot of poetic licence- fluffiest pillows/ you receive a fresh towel before walking along scented hallways etc plus advertise as a female only 'sanctuary' then advertise 'mixed dorms' As far as I'm aware, there were only females here, during my stay. Well the pillows are adequate, but not 'the fluffiest' I could have done with another. My towel was waiting on my bed, and the scented hallways??? A lot of stairs to climb before I came to the corridor to my dorm- and not wafting with aromatic scents! Some noise from the traffic/ late night revellers, but didn't bother me too much. The window was open, as it was so warm. Although The Village is the hub -for socialising, eating, drinking etc, it would have been nice to have had a lounge/reception area etc for relaxing / meeting other residents here at The Oasis, as there was no communal area.

Liked: It was good enough for the price.

Disliked: The staff was more interested in socialising with each other than with their work. This meant I was not checked in properly and I had to walk up and down the street between the hostel en the reception area a lot. The cardkeys didn't work on the door to the room for me or a lot of the other girls which meant there was a lot of knocking etc.

Liked: It was great because it was clean and provided towels and felt like a safe place with nice people. The location was fantastic and the showers were clean and the end one was very spacious.

Disliked: The only problems with it was that you have to walk to another building to access a common room/wifi (which is the basement of a bar) and I never found a kitchen. The special bathroom is only for the top floor so don't count on being able to use it.

Liked: Location and accessibility through bus and train services are very good for the travellers who come for the first time in London. Completely safe for ladies.

Disliked: a) Ventilation system should be improved. b) Management should inform the ladies boarders that "Smoking is prohibited inside the room".

Liked: The location was for my purposes very good, and the fact that shampoo/showergel and towels are provided is brilliant.

Disliked: VERY uncomfortable matress. It was obviously very much used and i could feel each bump in it. absolutely terrible.

Liked: This is a perfect hostel to stay! I recommend this hostel to everyone central near the tube and bus stop,clean, good staff, they organise lots of things to meet people, definitely a good place to have fun!!

Liked: I felt having to go to a different building after checking in was a little unsecure (as I was so glad to have made it at 1 am!).The bed, room and towel were clean and tidy which was great.

Liked: I liked the all girls room. The shower is a bit of a pain because you have to continuously push the button every 20 seconds. The beds are in rough shape, but sleepable. There was no hair dryer or tampons like they advertised. Just soap and razors. The bathroom isnt what the pictures show. there is no pink designs or anything. Breakfast is toast or cereal.. but it was something at least. The staff is nice, the location is very good. The tube is just a few mins walk. Overall, I suggest this hostel, just dont have high expectations.

Liked: I met great people there and it´s a one minute walk to the tube station. I didn´t like the fact that only three female dorms where alowed to use the "special" female bathroom.

Liked: Beds were springy and uncomfortable, didnt have any good night sleeps while i was there. Was at the Orient Espresso so had to lug stuff up and back for checkk in a little annoying. Same thing with breakfast had to walk up about a block. It was a little bit smelly and it felt airless in the rooms. Met some great people who i am still hanging out with even though we have all moved to new hostels so thats always good. Internet is soooo slow and pretty expensive. Good cos its near station. I probably wouldnt stay again but for budget its good.
