Liked: The place is awesome great way to start our 6 month trip. Most of the staff where very helpful and easy to talk to. The rooms are a great size and the lockers under the beds are good too. Breakfast was great and had a great kitchen for us to use. Wifi was also excellent as never had an issue. Really easy access to bus and metro lines, lovely parks closes by. Would def stay here again no doubt.

Liked: The neighborhood is really nice, right next to Hyde Park. Bit of a hike to the tube but not bad. Large lounge. Great staff. Very laid-back atmosphere.

Disliked: Stairs, lots and lots of stairs. Water collects on bathroom floor after shower.

Liked: Astor Hyde Park is incredibly cheap considering the prices include breakfast, 24hour reception, excellent service, movie lounge, 50p internet, clean rooms and sheets, and a great opportunity to meet lots of young people from different countries. I will definitely stay there again!

Disliked: Towels cost 2 pounds in the reception. And the hostel is quite far away from the Gloucester tube, about 15-20 minutes. But the tube is very central and it only takes 45 minutes to get their from Heathrow.

Liked: everyone who worked there was super nice and helpful... it was also in a super nice neighborhood and was safe to walk around at night

Disliked: the bathroom was a little dirty, but we were in a room with 12 people, so that is to be expected, otherwise it was great.

Liked: This hostel was great in every way except the the staff were unhelpful and unwillinging to go out of their way for their guest at all. The beds were incredibly comfortable for a hostel and very clean, they even had proper duvets. The location fine and easily walkable for the tube station (around 10 minutes but perfectly flat) There are a lot of stairs at the property so be prepared to lug you suitcase up them as there is no lift! Breakfast was plentyfull with toast, cereals, juice, cheese and cold meats. The kitchen was great, fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare your own meals. The hostel was immacuately clean and all rooms had spacious ensuites, deffinately recommend it for comfort, cleanliness and available facilities but don´t expect outstanding service!

Disliked: The service was poor, staff were unwilling to help with anything outside the norm and very strict on rules, eg wouldnt let you check in even half an hour early etc

Liked: I liked the character of the hostel. The kitchen facilities are excellent and we were not disturbed during the night. The location is very good, right next to museums, Kensington Gardens, and good for public transport links. The lounge is great.

Disliked: I disliked the cctv warning signs everywhere, even threatening to catch you if you didn't wash your dishes. The pay as you go internet was very poor. It often froze and could not play videos on basic sites such as YouTube because of the simple absence of an updated flash player. It is also extremely expensive, annoying when I don't want to travel with my laptop. The breakfast was ok but not as good as in many of the hostels I've stayed in, basically cereal and toast.

Liked: Very nice place to stay. Clean, safe, central, cheap. Take care of your beer. The staff will "clean" the refrigerator on any day of the week not just Monday and Thursday. If your beer is not clearly labeled with your name you might find it a few hours later with a "STAFF" tag on it. This happened to me last week Wednesday. Except for that the hostel is great value for the money and I would stay there again. It's spacious and probably the best hostel I stayed in.

Disliked: I was impressed by the services offered nothing to dislike. Just don't clean the fridge randomly, it's very annoying. Stick to the schedule, it should be cleaned on Monday and Thursday.
