Liked: was wonderfully clean. also I felt very safe.nice old building.good service.

Disliked: paper towels or hand towels in the washroom would be very useful. also: description of walk from tube station should be clearer. It took me almost thirty minutes with heavy luggage to make it to the hostel, and I wish I'd known it was that long. I would have called for a taxi instead.

Liked: The common room was excellent with TV on at all times and comfortable seating so you could just relax after a long day of sightseeing and walking around London.

Disliked: I was on the 5th floor which was very warm and quite a hike to get to without elevators but the room was perfectly fine.

Liked: It was close to Hyde Park.

Disliked: We Stayed on the fifth floor, the air was impossibly thick. the ventilation in the room was very poor, and we felt ill during the night and the following days. It is the worst place I have ever stayed, and feel that this accommodation had a very negative effect on our time in London. Very disappointed.

Liked: cleanliness and open feel to rooms despite a lot of people; staff was really friendly and helpful

Disliked: no place to put stuff in bathroom while using shower - had to put stuff on floor, which is not nice when it is damp from a previous person using the shower room.

Liked: It had a great kitchen where you can prepare your meals, play billard, watch TV and listen to music. Also it has free wi fi and attention 24x7. The breaksfast is not a big deal, but it is good enough to fill your "bag" (you have cereal, bread, toast machines, butter, jams, coffee or tee)

Disliked: The rooms had a bathroom inside. Obviously this bathroom was installed there to prepare the house to work as a hostel. The problem is that everything in the bathroom makes a lot of noise: water, toilet, shower, ventilation...and of course, these noises affect the ones who are sleeping in the room.

Liked: A very nice and pleasent stay i had ever in my 5 years of backpacking. I certainly yes to all backpackers. a great place to stay in right in the heart of london. I would difnitely recommend everyone to have at least one visit to Astor Hyde Park. A great place to meet new people and make few friends as well. Special thanks to 2 Ausrailian Sisters (Rebecca & Sarah), i would say it was very nice to meet you. Thanks Astor Hyde Park

Liked: The dorms are spacious, there is a nice and comfortable common room with a big tv, and the location is good - in a quiet street close to several parks, museums and subway.

Disliked: The barthrooms were a bit dirty and small, but it was not really a problem, the good thing was that there was a bathroom in the room. The breakfast was not very well organized and you had to clean up your own dishes. Also one of the staff-members didn't seem interested in helping you at all.

Liked: Really great place to stay, with free wireless. Computers are coin-operated, at £2 per hour, minimum 50p. Not a party hostel, but fun enough, and I met some lovely people both in my room and in the lounge. Staff were lovely, rooms were clean and nice. A really nice area, 2 minutes walk from Kensington Gardens - gorgeous.

Disliked: Not quite as close to the tube station as I'd hoped. Only a few little niggles - beds squeaked, no reading light or shelf, only 6 cages in my room for 8 beds, and the bathroom smelled really bad. It needed a good clean.

Liked: Rooms are big and its in a good location. The place is clean!

Disliked: Getting your stuff up the numerous flights of stairs was hard, particularly the really narrow stairs from the luggage room!
