Liked: Beds were comfy, bathroom/toilets usually clean. Good common area with bar and club. Lockers were available but you have to pay. Express check out, just pop your key in a box and your done.

Disliked: You have to pay for wifi/internet & lockers. Beds are arranged like pigeon holes. I had to wait 30mins to check in because reception were so busy. Not much in the area but 5-10min walk to Kings Cross station.

Liked: I think it is overall a good hostel. It is really big, not very cosy but it has a atmosphere of young people and going out and shopping etc. We stayed in an girls deluxe room which was not really deluxe but just normal, except for the paintings on the wall. And since the windows couldn't open very far it was a bit smelly sometimes, but that will be different for each room. The beds were ok, you were not so much bothered by others in your room, which was nice cause we stayed in a room with 10 others. Bathroom&toilet were clean!!! breakfast was ok, but not special. Location is good, close to kingscross where you can take buses/tubes to everywhere you want to. i would not say it is worth the price though, i have stayed in better hostels for less the price, it is a bit too expensive for what you get, i'd say.

Disliked: It was not so clear where the kitchen or commonroom was, we had to ask and some of the staff was a bit cranky, some were also really really nice though ;)

Liked: Not too expensive compared to other hostels. Good breakfast selection

Disliked: The female dorm I was in was accessed via the entrance to a smelly unisex toilet. There were not enough toilets in general

Liked: location

Disliked: No towels available for entire weekend despite this being a service offered. When I spoke with staff re same I was brushed off like it wasnt important. Not very friendly staff

Liked: Rooms, bar, internet room, tv room, kitchen, location, staff everything was perfect!

Disliked: The only thing I would suggest is to put shelves in the bathrooms and in the showers as I never knew where to put my stuff there!

Liked: The atmosphere, how they preserved at some places the traces of the original function.

Disliked: The bathroom wasn't very roomy actually: no place to put my clothes and stuff… I didn'T feel my stuff very much secure in the room while sleeping on the top of the bed - felt the need of taking my valuables “below my pillow” ;) Not much room in the rooms (ha-ha), the beds take up like 90%. This is a lot if you cannot dress up in the bathroom properly…

Liked: fun common rooms, pretty good location

Disliked: noisy noisy noisy! got hardly any sleep the nights i was there. was in a basement room right next to the bar... which is open until about 3 every night... window right next to my bunk... noise from all angles.

Liked: breakfast, beds were quit private even with 10 in a room. decent sized showers

Disliked: toilets the size of a small closet, not near enuf of them, nor of the showers. showers shut off after 15 seconds. 10 min walk to Tube

Liked: Great location - close to Kings Cross Station which was really central for all our travelling. Really handy travel store as well on the premises which was great for booking tours etc

Disliked: Rooms were very small. Easy to hear people tearing around the corridors as well during the night. Front desk staff were more interested in their own conversations than helping us check in. Would recommend for a shorter stay

Liked: Rooms were very clean and staff were very helpful. In a great central London location with many restaurants, tube and Train station within easy walking distance.

Disliked: Noise level was high - radio blasting in lobby all night and drunk resident shouting Heil Hitler in the middle of the night was not appreciated. I will say that a tenant yelled at him after the 10th heil and staff finally came and spoke to him. There should also be free 15 minutes of internet per stay - it seems ridiculous to have to pay for internet considering the nightly cost of a basic room.

Liked: Free breakfast was good and in a clean environment. The kitchen was very clean.

Disliked: I slept in a 16 bed room and it really felt like a cow shed. The beds are attached to one another with a partial (3/4) partition separating each person. You get given a sheet to put on your bed- not ideal if you show up at 11pm as had to switch light on for a while (I was on the top bed). No pillow! Facilities are not too clean. Showers (girls) have no dry area to take your bag in with you. The entire floor was wet from previous users and there is nowhere for you to dress- you have to go back to your room (not advisable in a mixed dorm) or make do with the wet floor- horrific! Would not recommend to anyone, especially if travelling alone. I've stayed in better and cheaper.

Liked: nothing really

Disliked: It smelt like really cheap cleaner. I paid for two nights but only stayed one because couldn't handle person snoring on the bunk above me. I still had to pay for the second night.

Liked: Compared to other hostels in London with a good location, this one was really clean, comfortable and true to the presentation. The beds were comfortable, toilets clean and the breakfast was really good. I recommend it to other travelers.

Disliked: Not much, but here are some things: the whole basement floor is very dark and the beds are claustrophobic because the part where your head goes is a dark hole. Kinda scary. The rooms are ridiculously bare - there's nothing except the beds (a small mirror or a chair would be nice). Also, showers are firing hot water everywhere, on your face, hair, clothes, towels... But I have to say these are minor things.

Liked: I liked the location and the helpful and friendly nature of the hostel staff. The breakfast is nice and the cooking facilities are very good.

Disliked: A shelf in the shower cublicle would be extremely helpful. On the Saturday night of our stay between 4.00am and 5.30am, a violent man kicked our door and screamed obscenties for 30 minutes. When it was safe to leave the room, I reported the incident to security and they called the police and he was removed. I understand these incidents can occur and Clink staff acted promtly when alerted but it was unfair and frightening to endure his tirade for such a long period, just a sugguestion - (perhaps if the music in reception wasnt so loud they might have heard him) I cannot criticise the staff as they apologised and did the best they could in a difficult situation but we were kept awake for 2 hours and it is somewhat expected that hostels offer a basic level of security and when you pay for a private room you expect the environment is conducive to sleep especially after 12.00 am.
