Liked: A clean, relatively quiet hostel with a super nice staff and a superb kitchen. Recommended to all!

Liked: Breakfast is plenty and it is very near king cross. Very nice people and atmosphere at the bar.

Disliked: There is nowhere wothin the property where you can dring your own alcohol. If it is not bought inside then you cant have it there. That is awful for such a nice hostel. Then, for that price I guess free wi fi at least on one area should be included

Liked: reception was the only thing nice.. kinda chintzy..

Disliked: the property is nice n okay.. we got a double room which was really very small.. no one cleaned it.. only one washroom for girls for many ppl... i just felt unhappy with it..last year i had stayed with lse passfield.. it charged 25 pounds against clink's 35.. it had such better washrooms n so so much space in rooms... last day ... we had put our stuff in the luggage room..it was like a mountain of heavy suitcases i m not kidding.. taking out my bag was crazy.. fire hazard.. health hazard.. just freaking crazy..i didn't even like the breakfast.. i don't recommend it for more than a 1 nighter..

Liked: I loved that it stayed very young, right down to the staff. I also appreciated the cleanliness and safety I felt there. It was a major concern of mine to be safe, and I never felt in any kind of danger. The kitchen is awesome, it's very convenient to cook meals.

Disliked: Online we see that Clink has 'access to internet'. But it isn't specified that you have to pay. I don't think that is fair, it's very inconvenient.

Liked: I liked the atmosphere and Lifts for our Luggage and the beds and safe boxes.

Disliked: I didn't like the automatic light in the shower as it went off while i was showering. Also the tap in the shower went off every 30 seconds which was anoying. Also when we arrived our booking had to be changed as they had double booked us and we had to check out and back in again later that day.

Liked: THE CLINK KINGS CROSS THE OLD COURT COMPLEX IS ONE OF THE BEST HOSTELS IN WHOLE GREATER LONDON YES EVERY POINT BLANK ABOUT THIS HOSTEL IS SUPERB WONDERFULL OK DET

Disliked: MUST STRESS IT CAN BE VERY LOUD NOISE BY CERTAIN EUROPEANS BUT WHAT MORE CAN ANY SUCH HUMAN WHERE ALL ARE CAN EXPECT BUT JUST TO ACCEPT I LOVED ALL THIS HOSTEL VERY HIGHLY RECCOMMENDABLE INTERNATIONALLY AND YES LOTS TO LEARN ALL WAYS EVERY DAYS I LIKE VOR EVERY TIMES PASSAGES OF LOVE HA HA DET

Liked: The staff were really friendly and helpful. Some of the common rooms are really cool - especially the computer room.

Disliked: The rooms were really tiny. I was in a four bed dorm. The room was the width of two beds, the only thing seperating them was a little screen. There was a really small window (blocked by the bunk bed) so it was very dark and stuff. You had to get and out of bed at the end of it because there was no room either side of it. The 'locker' to store your vaules is about the size of sandwich box and there's nowhere to hand your things in the bathrooms!!

Liked: Staffs are rather friendly and helpful.

Disliked: I booked a cell unit for 2 person. As the name suggest, it is really a cell (looks like a detention/prison cell since this building was once used as a court building). The room is so small. You have to reconsider if you are carrying a large luggage. Price is too expensive for a room like this.

Liked: I especially enjoyed the Clink's array of themed nights and cheap late night drinks. The novelty of staying at an old courtroom was also an amusing feature of the hostel. Overall, the facilities were kept very clean, and the location was (as advertised) ideally close to king's cross/st. pancras.

Disliked: Unfortunately, the beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever encountered at a hostel. It literally felt like I was sleeping on a pile of bricks. Also, there was a weird smell, which I can only describe as burnt hair coming from the toilet and shower area in our room.

Liked: Great location. Helpful staff.

Disliked: Tiny lockers. Need to pay for a locker other hostels offer for free. No free Wifi! This isn't communist Russia. Its 2011. London. Get with the program. This is just as much expected from modern travelers as indoor plumbing.

Liked: Clean and safe, friendly and helpful staff, great building.

Disliked: Felt like one giant anonymous money-making machine with too much cost-cutting and not enough attention to service provision. Tiny cramped rooms with too many beds squeezed in. They charge for wifi (£5 for 24hours, I mean seriously?). Not enough staff on reception at busy times. And they have some wonderful excuses for fining guests (the only hostel I've been to anywhere in the world which FINES their customers) e.g. their solution to under-18s drinking in the bar isn't the sensible one i.e. to employ sufficient barstaff in order to be able to check ID, like every single other pub and bar in the country - instead they fine customers £50 each. I was appalled.

Liked: Clink is what it is. It isnt terrible, but it isnt great. I think there are better hostels out there in this price range.

Disliked: I tried to cancel my reservation more than 24 hours before I arrived but they have a 48 hr policy and I still had to pay for a full night. The shower was awful. It didn't have a steady stream of water. You would turn it on, it would run for a few seconds, then turn off. It was like torture to have to turn the cold water back on to wash the remaining soap and shampoo off of your face. Also, each of the floors was a different, extremely bright color that was very distracting. I would also not recommend using the luggage room- get a locker if you're going to leave your stuff here. When we were at the front desk, some guy came up and asked to get his stuff out of the luggage room. They just handed him a key and told him to bring it back when he wanted to -- no oversight on WHOSE bag he'd be bringing back with him...not cool.

Liked: Location, the TV lounge with the S shaped sofas is awesome. Staff are very friendly and there's a great social atmosphere to the hostel.

Disliked: No free wi-fi and its a very very busy hostel. Shared dorms feel hot and cramped.
