What I liked about the hostel was its location. South Kensington is a nice, quiet and safe place to stay. The tube station and several bus stations are only a few minutes walk away. On the outside the Acacia Hostel is a tidy and clean place but the inside is lovelessly neglected which is really a pity for such a wonderful house. Rooms were okay, there were a sink and clean linens but only small lockers - so we were lucky that we shared our room with trustworthy people. The Internet was not working when we wanted to use it, the bathrooms weren't always clean and there is no real place to sit or to chill out so we spent very little time at the hostel. Breakfast was okay, although the kitchen is tiny and uncomfortable. All in all its not a bad place to stay since the price and location, which were our main criteria, were good - but the hostel has little charm and is not really a place i would choose again.

I didn't like much about this hostel. We got a basement room and the smell was awfull!! The beds were very old, but at least the linen was clean. And we had to wait for a long time to take a shower because there were only three of them for the whole hostel.

Definitely its location, near South Kensington tube station... near Museums... and 40 min of walking from Buckingham Palace... and helpfulness of the stuff...
