Liked: Beautiful home for a good price.

Disliked: They have some serious organizational issues at this hostel but for the most part it was great. Was not a fan of staff always looking for someone when I was trying to sleep. OH and they don't have anyone on staff at the actual location and block all hostel websites...makes it very hard to plan your next move:(

Liked: The house is very big and the rooms are big too. The lounge room is huge and very comfortable. It's not expensive, so just because of how good the house is, it's worth it over all the other hostels I tried, which are much much worse. It's a good place if you're looking for a job in London or waiting for your room to become available.

Disliked: There's not really anyone available at the houses from the hostel, so basically most of the time you are on your own with the people in the hostel. So any concerns can't be addressed easily, they answer the phone in working hours, but other than that you're on your own. For example, lately the heat is been on and it's really hot and there's no way to turn it off and noone to ask for it. The staff that actually goes to the houses to collect money and clean are rude most of the time and really don't know how to address problems like people not cleaning their dishes or paying out of time, and you might get a random speech from annoying staff about something you didn't do. They're very dodgy regarding things they charge you, they'll charge you to check in out of working hours for example. Their internet is also dodgy, they have hostelbookers blocked so you extend directly with them, which is more expensive than the first booking you make through other sites.

Liked: It's very relaxed here. As described in other reviews, it's a mix of job seekers, tourists, and other people staying in London long term. It's comfortable because there isn't massive turnover each night, people are sociable, but aren't all looking to get hammered everynight, which was nice. The property itself was conveniently located to stores, and not so far from the city center. There were 3 kitchens on the my floor. The free toast and nescafe in the mornings was fine. The lounge area is big, and the garden is a good place to get some air.

Disliked: These didn't make such a bad impression on me, but after 9 days, I noticed. The washing machine is way too expensive, and there really isn't an easy way to do it in the sink there either. Granted, the price may be on par with London, so it's a more general complaint. The shower door in the basement, where my bunk was, didn't close all of the way and this bathroom was not as clean as the others. In the end I just went upstairs to use the better bathrooms. The whole arrangement of the booking office being separate from the properties is nice in a way, because you don't feel staff hovering over you. However, it makes checking in cumbersome as somebody has to meet you and I don't think this was made clear enough in the description on this site.

Liked: WiFi free of charge, no crap like Global Gossip or so. This is a good hostel. Extremely good self catering facilities. Internet area separated from TV lounge. They have more than one building, thus you should ask by email where you will lodge, and how to get there. I would definitely stay again here.

Disliked: If you have not enough coins, you risk to loose your change when paying cash. 5 GBP admin fee for extending the lodgement for 1 week .

Liked: It was really close to the tube, so very handy to move around London. Also lot's of friendly people who were looking for jobs, working or studying, so the atmosphere was pretty good. Liked the fact that there are fridges in the room, much easier to have food.

Disliked: The was only one computer with internet for all the hostel, that was far from good, and it was in a little room that was always extremily hot. Also, the lockers need a very big padlock and the ones od the suitcases didn't work.

Liked: WIFI access, cleanliness of showers, lounge space, meeting other travellers, fridges in rooms, mattress was comfy.

Disliked: Lack of anything to dry your hands with in the bathrooms. Lack of anything to use to get something out of a hot oven. The fact that not every kitchen had the same applicances and you had to go between the kitchens to find what you needed. No reception area on site and had to call and wait for 15 minutes before able to access the property. At end of stay, staff were not available to check me out at the designated time. Room was on top level and was very stuffy. Windows didn't open very far for ventilation. Beds very squeaky.

Liked: Good location, ell set up for people coming to London to find work etc. There are 3 kitchens which is great.

Disliked: On of the girls on staff was plain rude. She would wake the whole room by simply opening the door and yelling the name of the person she was seeking.... and she generally lacked the friendly demeanor expectd of someone in customer service.

Liked: Clean, nice staff, free breakfast. The surrounding area is very nice.

Disliked: Late check-in procedure is not highlighted in the directions. It is quite straightforward - but if you missed that, you might end up sleeping at the street / railway station / whatever else, instead of you booked hostel (and we were not the only people who had troubles with late arrival). Also a little bit noisy and rooms are quite small (at least privates) - but overall good value for the money.

Liked: Me and my friend booked a dorm room, but got a private room instead, which was great. It even had its own fridge. The kitchen is great; it has got everything you might need.

Disliked: The bathroom wasn't always too clean. The location of our property was in zone 2, but you can get anywhere fairly quickly with public transportation, so that wasn't really a problem.

Liked: The cleaning staff and the night caretaker(Ador) at the actual property are fantastic. The facilities are kept very clean and if something is broken they try to fix it asap. Lots of fun people staying at the hostel. Only a 3 minute walk to Kilburn tube station. Kitchen facilities are great, can cook a complete meal. Rooms are a bit small but also very clean.

Disliked: There is alot of discomunication between the office staff. EG: I rang on Thursday to extend my day, the girl i spoke to said it was fine but to ring or email again on sunday. On Sunday i emailed to confirm, on Monday the girl took my money and then i checked my email and i had recieved an email, saying they were unable to accommodate me. AND THEN at about 9.30pm when Ador(caretaker) does his nightly checks, he had been told he had to collect money from me which i had already paid. The office staff need to get their act together because this isnt a very professional way to treach customers.

Liked: I just liked the microwave

Disliked: Firt of all they gave us a studio apartment which was similar to a "container" rahter than to a real home!!walls were very thin, lavatory too small, and the location was horrible!!it was very far away from the city centre. They've got their own website where they say that they are just 15 minutes by tube from the town centre. First of all I would say that London is huge and the city centre i big as well, so it depends WHERE IN THE CENTRE you have to go. Second, I wasn't in their hostel, I asked fro one of their studio apartments which was far AT LEAST ten minutes walk from the tube station and than it took m about 25 minutes to get to Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square, because you have to change the line: The nearest bus stop is Willesden Green which in at the border between zone 2 and ZONE 3 , so you are nearer to zone 3 than the city centre. Willesden Green is on the Jubilee Line which is so often CLOSED during the weekend, so you have to take the bus and it takes LONGER to reach the town centre. The road where I lived was very boring, just as boring as Willesden Green. It is just like staying in a village and not in London. The home was on the gound floor, so didn't really felt so much safe, since in the street where I lived there was nobody passing by, no shops, no markets, just homes. So I would not definetely recommend this accomodation, because considering the location and the kind of container they give you, it is too much expensive, I would rather spend a little bit more and live nearer to the city. Also it wasn't perfectly clean; the pits weren't washed properly and there wasnt'a any place to hand your clothes when washing them. There is a laundry but it costs 4 pounds!! (half an hour washing plus dryier). I am very upset.
