Liked: The staff upgraded our room for free which was nice. The showers were not the greatest things in the world but the have baths that are a lot cleaner (doesnt seem like anyone uses them.) Staff were friendly and the location needs a bit of walking to get to but not bad overall.

Liked: The staff at new cross are very friendly and helpful. The place will be well connected to central when the underground station, New cross, is completed. Otherwise, at the moment, the train from london bridge to other underground will be an extra cost to budget travelers/ oyster card user. Nonetheless, if you do not mind the not-so-well maintained facilities , it is fun place especially for those who love to club/pub and good for budget traveler.

Liked: Nice cheap place to stay if your not too fussy. The facilities are not in good shape but the atmosphere is good. Excellent location and train connections. Nice UG bar!

Liked: This is not a like just a warning, there are a lot of stairs, bar noise, and the most uncomfortable beds of my life. I could feel every spring.

Liked: We were a little dubious of the area but for no reason whatsoever - New Cross is like Brunswick of Fitzroy in Melbourne. The vibe of the hostel is sensational. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable, there is a beautiful view from either side of the building, the staff are excellent and the place overall is cosy. Very homely.Clean showers and bathrooms, kitchen facilities are excellent and the in room Wifi is strong and fast.

Liked: No hastle, friendly staff. Free WiFi in common room that reached the first floor rooms too. Not too remote when you consider train/metro/bus system is quite decent in London. Beds clean and comfortable, my room was quiet. A fantastic bargain for the price, I will be a return visitor if ever through London again.
