Liked: The price of about 200 pounds fir 4 nights and 2 people is good for London. Helpful staff, good train connections (but only from 6 in the morning). Good for travellers that travel for partying!

Disliked: We bookee ensuite. No bathroom in our room. Only public bathrooms and they were discusting. No towels fir free as description said. Bathrooms were really dirty. Other costumes were really lous all night plus there is a pub right beynd that makes it impossible to sleep.

Liked: VERY clean rooms. I've been to hotels that have been dirtier than this hostel. Most of the stuff were very friendly and helpful and it was incredibly easy to get to nearest transport, quickly taking you to the various famous sites of London.

Disliked: There is a lot of noise coming from the pub below though and there was some fighting outside one night. In other words, maybe not the safest neighborhood so wouldn't recommend for families with children.

Liked: This is a great hostel to visit if you want to make friends! Everyone is so welcoming. We stayed up all night in the common room, drinking beers and meeting travelers from all over the world.

Disliked: The shower is TINY. Ladies, good luck trying to shave your legs in there. Also, New Cross Gate is kind of a schlep from the rest of London but it's not impossible, just be prepared to spend a little more time on the Underground.

Liked: the staff are quite helpful.

Disliked: the toilet is so dirty and damped. some even don't have a shower! It stinks as well and i don't think it is hygienic enough. by the time i get there it's under renovation, so even if im living on the second floor, the workers can still walk pass my window on the scaffolding! and the windows can not be locked so it's actually quite dangerous. also, there are a lot of people gathered at the door of the hostel and you just cant tell if there are any drunkers... it gives you an insecure feeling... btw, the pub downstairs is really nosiy sometimes, but luckily they stop when it's midnight.

Liked: The rooms were a decent price and breakfast and internet is included in the price.

Disliked: They use Comic Sans for all their signage. COMIC SANS! Come on guys, no one's going to take you seriously.

Liked: Great staff and clean bedding. I liked the location but others may considerate it far and out of the way. Compared to the price of other London hostels, New Cross is a good deal for what it is.

Disliked: Bathroom I used could use a renovation and my mattress was quite uncomfortable. A lot of people complain about the bar below, didn't bother me one bit.

Liked: pretty cheap but far and in a very mixed area. my boyfriend and i ate at a nice restaurant right in front but many shops were very sketch and the area did not feel very safe. the hallways and bathrooms were very dirty though the room was fine

Liked: The social atmosphere of the hostel, and the staff where very helpful and welcoming, especially Dan and Peter.

Disliked: The mattress where not the most comfortable, but can be overlooked if your wanting a fun time.

Liked: The location is good. There are two underground station near by.

Disliked: The cleanliness in bathrooms is not good. The continental breaksfast could be improved. The pub is not clean.

Liked: It has a great atmosphere and your made to feel right at home straight away. Staff become friends as well as everybody else staying in the hostel. They also have great discounts if you book for a week or more at a time and the staff are all more than happy to help you with ANYTHING you need. (One even offered to put 2 mattresses on the floor of their room when we were having trouble finding last minute accomodation) It seems a little far out of town, but it takes no time at all to travel by bus or tube to get anywhere in London. I will definitely be coming back to New Cross Inn when I'm finished traveling abroad.

Disliked: Nothing, cleanliness is as good as any backpackers you'll find in London, anyone who complains about it is just being precious.

Disliked: the room that i stayed is actually a mess. need more shower i think. there is a pub with live music under this hostel. as a result, you cant sleep.. a bit far from central london...

Liked: Convenient to go to the city centre.

Disliked: Too noisy, ppl clubbing all nights, not a place to have a rest. I feel it's not safe at that area, hearing the alarm of police car every 10mins.

Liked: The best part was the staff was so helpful and nice. They were very knowledgeable about everything and were more than happy to jump up and help. It was very international, so if you feel like speaking French, Spanish, or Italian especially there will be someone for you to talk to.

Disliked: The main thing is that it's so far away from where you want to be in London. It's at least 2 changes to get downtown, and it would definitely be worth it to spend a couple euros more a night and be more central (and then you don't have to worry about the tube closing at midnight if you want to go out). Also they have a sign up that says 18-35 only, which is definitely not the case. It didn't bother me, but I just feel like you shouldn't have the sign up if it's not true.

Liked: I really liked people living there. They were really nice and open to anybody. Also the staff tried to get along with visitors.

Disliked: Common room is definately too small

Liked: i did really enjoy the days i spent in london with my brother and my best friend. we didnt only have fun in this amazing city but we also had fun with the people who stayed in our hostel. what i liked the most about the hostel was that the rooms were not too big. so you didnt have to stay in a room with millions of people who you dont know. you were also able to have a shower whenever you wanted as there were so many bathrooms. i liked the staff as well and the tube station was just 5 minutes away. opposite the hostel there is an amazing club and there are a few pubs just a few minuts walk from the hostel

Disliked: the hostel was far away from the centre and in the hostel there were no prospects which told you what to do and see in london. also the music from the bar in the groundfloor until 2 pm disturbed our sleep. the breakfast wasnt really good. just toast and cornflakes but alright for a hostel with 14 pounds per night.
