I like the night time security checks by your staff. I like the fact that everyone who gets through the hotel door are checked and show their room pass without fail. Keep it up.

My two-week jaunt through Europe began and ended in London. I decided to spend the first three days at another hostel and then try the Generator on my way back to the United States, just for one night. Looking back, I should have down it the other way around -- if only for the great atmosphere at this hostel. From the outside, this place doesn't look very impressive (someone told me it was a renovated prison, and I'm willing to believe them), but once you enter, it's hip, trendy, and a lively place. I met more people hanging out at this hostel than all the others combined, and I won't soon forget my stay here. Only drawbacks: there are a lot of people to each of the bathrooms and the rooms look a little spartan. That said, I would highly recommend the Generator if you're staying in London.

Atmosphere and character, central location... However, the bar should have three skilled bartenders at all time, and the bathrooms could be much better
