Liked: it was cheap and close to the shops that we needed and a subway station

Disliked: The facilities offered werent the best. The showers were often cold and the laundry wasnt big enough

Liked: Place was big. The bar was really cool. Rooms were plain and simple.

Liked: Very close to the tube and many other faccilities.

Disliked: They don`t get the idea of a hostel. They will charge you for EVERYTHING you need. Also, you can`t bring your own drinks to common area. I felt like in some school group.

Liked: It was easy to find.

Disliked: Breakfast was really bad, worst I have had in a hostel. With all doors and windows left open all the time, the hostel was freezing. The place is almost too secure, with several people demanding to see your room card before you enter the building. There were a lot of staff, but none of them seemed to enjoy what they did and were less than helpful. There was nothing here to justify the extra cost.

Liked: The security at this hostel is awesome. At night you cannot get anywhere near it without your room keycard so you feel very safe. The bar has great deals during happy hour. There is a travel office that can help you from everything to theatre tickets, tours, etc.. The staff is also very friendly and helpful in every way.

Disliked: The wifi was a bit slow, but usable. The heater in the room only comes on at 9pm until the early morning hours, so sometimes the room got a bit cold, but was still comfortable.

Liked: good location, only a 5 minute walk to the tube, closest station being russell square.breakfast was good, what i was after - toast, cereal and juice, tea/coffeethe free wi-fi was handythe bar was good with cheap drinks

Disliked: the staff were rude. went to the travel desk a couple of times to ask a question and had to wait 5 minutes while the staff member was talking on the phone or counting the til. had a cold shower on the first day, and the next few days my shower was cut short when the hot water ran out after a couple of minutes. the bathroom facilities are less than adequate - no where to put your things without them getting wet, central drain was constantly filled with hair. also the hair drier is terrible. the room we had was tiny. only one person could have their case/backpack open at a time. theres not much around the hostel apart from good restaurants and supermarkets

Liked: Central - close to St. Pancras Int'l for my train from/to Gatwick and to/from Paris. Walking disctance to most interesting pubs and attractions. I did not know about the uni-sex policy - but 100% OK! Extremely pleasant staff!

Disliked: Nothing at all!

Liked: Good location, free breakfast, luggage room, helpful staff.

Disliked: Needs updating - a bit oppressive! No cooking facilities (that I saw) and can't bring your own alcohol in because of the licence. Stayed in twin private room but didn't compare very well to others i have stayed in - small, bit grubby.

Disliked: Showers and toilets were not clean! The room lacked other lighting but one horrible light in the ceiling

Liked: The area is nice, safe and close to many bus stops and tube stations. The staff is freindly and helpful and the recepptions is staffed 24/7. The beds are comfortable and clean.

Disliked: The rooms are ugly (orange and blue colours, no bed lights, no shelves at the bed to store small items like glasses or mobile phones), the breakfast area is rather dingy and dark.

Disliked: room on my last 2 days was a little too small for 4 people as specially when some dont wash and get a bit smelly,

Liked: I liked the pub inside the hostel, the security (there are members of the staff who check that all the people who enter the hostel has got the hostel card), the breakfast was ok, there's a room where you can use computers and internet (1 pound half hour), the toilets and room are clean, the place is quite quiet during the night.
