This is a party hostel. There is an intern bar with music until 3am on average. If you want to have it quiet to sleep, then maybe you look for another hostel. If you want to party and meet people, there's nothing better than the generator hostel in London!

The rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms (frequently cleaned) and the showers (wich are very simple, by the way); the atmosphere is wonderful (kind and helpful staff, lot of young people, ...). Bad aspects: there's a strange smell in the corridors (but not in the room) and the music is maybe too loud (we could clearly hear it at 1 a.m. at the second floor). In general, anyway, I strongly suggest it, particularly to young people.

If I was alone I would be happy with that atmosphere but I was with my mum and I think for my parents ages it's not suitable.

I loved the range of facilities at the hostel i.e. laundry, luggage storage, internet, shop, free breakfast, cheap tasty dinners and great friendly staff. The only problem i had was in one room i stayed, all lockers except one were broken.

Had everything my group needed and was a short tube ride away from everything we had planned. lots of fun and no curfew was brilliant as well as the free drink and complimentary breakfast.

i liked that at generator they gave you key cards to your room like a hotel.. also the showers are bigger then most euro showers and the water is always hot! the hostel is big enough that you can party at the hostel, meet new people or sleep without having to hear everyone else in the hostel. Also they offer awesome services to get to the airports around London
