Liked: The beds were good with the privacy screens and our lockers on top on the beds. The bar was good and it is close to the train station. The staff were nice and friendly and fit us in last minute.

Disliked: There were kids and families staying there which was kind of weird

Liked: The Staff was extremely nice and helpful, those girls deserve a medal for their work. We also met some nice people in the hostel.

Disliked: The fact that we shared a room with a really stinky guy. The bathrooms weren't that clean either, the showers were extremely hot and the breakfast was petty.

Liked: The Hostel is great! It's been recently refurbished so all the rooms and floors are new. The only thing they've still to do is the bathrooms, which are a bit old, but not totally awful. It's a bit noisy too, but again, what do you expect for a hostel?

Disliked: The bathrooms and noise. It was bearable though.

Liked: The location, close to King's Cross. Breakfast is better than in other hostels in London ( basic but good: tea/coffee, juice, cerals and toasts, jam and butter, not margarine). Was in a room overlooking the back of the building, perfect for sleeping, as the main street is busy. Windows in all rooms.

Disliked: Internet connection is expensive 1GBP for 20 minutes. All rooms are mixed. Women barthroom not on all floors and not very clean.

Liked: Clink261 (not to be confused with the other one) is located just a short walk from the busy (and famous) King's Cross station, which puts it pretty much centrally located to anywhere you want to go in London because you'll end up taking the Tube everywhere. The place is pretty decent for the price (everything is expensive in London because of the exchange rate), though as a budget-conscious traveler you will have to do with less amenities. The bunk beds were designed as a "cot" with personal light switches and small lockers in each bed, as well as a large privacy screen, which was a nice touch. The rooms also had a touch-screen showing useful things nearby, bus schedules, and Tube maps.

Disliked: The atmosphere here was rather quiet, as most of the "Clink" events were held at the other Clink hostel, about 5 minutes' walk away. When I was there, the hostel had several groups of high school (or younger?) students, which was not the greatest. Mix that with a few older travelers and there wasn't a real "backpacker" feel to this place. The internet was also expensive at £2/2hours of WiFi, when there was free WiFi at Madeira next door and at McDonald's down the street. All of the above are minor concerns - the major problem I think was that the bathrooms constantly stank of mold and urine. This was very unfortunate as the hostel seemed to be newly renovated and modern, with the exception of the bathrooms. Since I lived on the first floor across the hall from the toilets, it was not the most comfortable of experiences. You could smell the "mold" even from far away, though I never personally spotted any myself, there is really no ventilation from the toilets and showers.

Liked: The beds, though cramped, are actually pretty neat, you get a little storage locker above your head. The place is just generally funky, it feels like a fresh design on a hostel.

Disliked: The bathrooms leave a bit to be desired, the shower only has one temperature and there isn't really a place to put a change of clothes in there, so you kind of have to awkwardly hang stuff on one hook... this place would be really great if it had slightly better showers and toilets.

Disliked: they charge you for everything, this is the first place that I have had to pay for wifi, 5 pound a day! They also charge you for a map aswell once again the first place I've stayed athat has done this. It's on an extremely busy street where the police and ambulance drive past sirens blaring every 2 minutes. They have music pumping through the hallways all day long so if you head out and don't get back till late in the morning don't expect to get much sleep. Over all not a good place to stay, make this a last resort!

Liked: Good location. Not to expensive. Free breakfast. 24h reception.

Disliked: Wifi is quite expensive. The showers and the toilets on the groundfloor have to be renovated. Some parts are rusty and look pretty awful. Water from the shower is too hot, and cannot be regulated. The toilets do smell. The ventilation system on the ground floor and in the dorms is not good enough. Only two showers for men on the ground floor. In the larger dorms the beds are too close one to another. The walls are not well isolated, you hear all the noise from the room just next to it or from the corridor. There is no furniture in the room except the beds and metallic boxes. The reception lounge looks very modern, but you loose a lot of space for example for the bathroom, which is really small.

Liked: It was super clean! And colorful. Lots of computers, fabulous breakfast -- tea, coffee, cocoa, herbal tea, juice, cereal, toast, butter, jam, honey, cheese...

Disliked: Nothing. The showers were slighly dirty, but nothing like everyone complained about. The lockers aren't in the bedrooms so they might run out of locker space, but I got one. Also they don't give you a pillowcase with the linen, but there is one on the pillow. Even the street noise factor wasn't bad at all like I've read on the reviews.

Liked: The location and the staff

Disliked: Very noisy because of the traffic outside, I had to sleep with earplugs. Also, you had to have the window open because the rooms were so small and six people sleeping in a very small room at the same time makes the air really bad... The bathrooms and showers were clean but in a bad condition. There were no lockers in the rooms.

Liked: A great vibe for any young travellers, very reasonable price, awesome music being played in the hallways during the day, great facilities and a generally nice vibe. Would stay with them again.

Disliked: Toilets hadn't been refurbished and made 'interesting sounds' particularly during the day. Other than that was all gravy.
