Cumberland House is a Bed & Breakfast offering accommodation near Gatwick Airport. We can pick you up and drive you back to Gatwick free of charge during the hours of 05:00 and midnight. Full English Breakfast served from 7-9am. Traditional menu, gluten free and vegetarian options are available.

The Free Courtesy Transfers to Gatwick Airport to Cumberland Hosue are 24 hours to suit you. Free Courtesy Pick Up from Gatwick Airport to Cumberland House are during the hours of 05:00 and midnight. A Free Phone can be found at our pick-up-point; Hotel & Guesthouse Courtesy Coaches Stop, on the arrivals floor. Please use the Free Phone to dial 8686 to advise Cumberland House that you are ready for your Pick Up. If you miss the midnight deadline, taxis are readily available at the Airport Taxi Rank at a charge of 8.50 GBP.

Fun:
New! Cumberland House are agents for a tour company in London and we can organise your days out to London, Paris, Stonehenge, Oxford and Bath. London is only 40 minutes by train. The train fare to London is 10.00 pounds return trip.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere at Cumberland House is light-hearted and warm. Carmel and Clive are always on hand to help in what ever way they can. As there are only 6 bedrooms in total, you will find the service on a very personal level.

Staff:
Cumberland House is a family run Bed & Breakfast. There are only the two of us. Clive and Carmel. Occasionally you may meet our sons. We are both receptionists, Clive is the driver, Carmel is the cook, Clive is the Waiter, Carmel is the washer-upper.

Location:
Cumberland House is set on the outskirts of a small town called Horley, on the Surrey/Sussex Borders. Situated only 2 miles (2.5km) from Gatwick Airport and yet is away from the flight path, therefore; you should not hear any aircraft noise.
Cumberland House can be easily found by road as it is positioned on the main A23 Brighton Road. The location is just wonderful to enable you to catch your connecting flight in the morning. We know you will appreciate how near we actually are to Gatwick Airport.

Cleanliness:
Cumberland House has been described by previous guests as immaculate. The Crisp White Cotton Sheets and White Bath Towels are all changed daily. The house is totally non-smoking. Your comfort while staying at Cumberland House is very important to us.

Facilities:
At Cumberland House we work hard to provide the faciilities that you need to make your journey through Gatwick as stressfree as possible. A Free Courtesy Transfer is provided between Gatwick to Cumberland House and back to Gatwick again in time to catch your flight. All rooms have bathrooms and all bedrooms are fitted with flat screen televisions. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house for your own laptop.

Check In:
To help everyone with early flight arrivals at Gatwick we have introduced flexible check-in times. Please let us know your arrival time at Gatwick and your incoming flight number.

Check Out: 10am.
Late Check Out Fee 5.00 pounds per hour after 10am.

Safety:
Your safety is of utmost importance at Cumberland House. Carmel and Clive live on the premises and are on-hand for any help you need throughout your stay. To ensure your safety we have recently extended our hours for The Free Courtesy Transfers and now drive from Gatwick during the hours of 05:00 and midnight. We can drive you to Gatwick anytime to suit you. This service is totally appreciated by everyone. Cumberland House has a Valid Fire Risk Assessment Certificate and all electrical appliances are tested by a qualified electrician and are up to UK Standard. Cumberland House is totally Non Smoking and you will find smoke alarms and heat detectors throughout the house. All our bedrooms are private (no dorms) and as an added extra for your safety we have installed security safes in all our rooms.

Cumberland House offers sensibly priced accommodation for those seeking a accommodation near Gatwick Airport. Looking at the facilities we offer with no hidden extras, we believe that we offer very good value for your money.

Breakfast:
This is everyone’s favorite time of day from 06.45am to 9.30am. The Full English: Bacon, egg, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, hash brown and baked tomato. We offer Traditional English, Vegetarian and Gluten Free Breakfasts. If you have an early flight and cannot stay for Full English Breakfast we also have freshly made fresh fruit salad, homemade English Muffins, and breakfast cereals.

Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel a reservation for any reason you must cancel the reservation 48 hours prior to the booking date. If you fail to do so then you will be charged for the room.

Accommodation Information

At Cumberland House we have 6 bedrooms of various combinations all have a bathroom inside the bedroom (ensuite) flat screen television, security safe and tea/coffee tray. Wi-Fi is free and is available in all room for use with your own laptop.
Our ground floor twin room has 2 single beds Our quad room has a double bed, a set of bunk beds and a single bed. Our Triple room has 3 single beds. We have 2 double rooms with a standard double bed; both of these rooms are used for single occupancy. Please email us if you have any questions.

Location Information

London is 40 minutes by train and is only 10 pounds per person return trip. Group tickets are also available at Horley Train Station.

At Cumberland House we can help you organise your days to visit all the top attractions in London. If you wish you can email Cumberland House before you leave home and we can pre-book tickets for you to visit The Tower of London, London Eye, London Dungeon and much more. We can pre-book tickets for you to have lunch while you cruise on the River Thames or you may prefer a Full Day out in Paris travelling by Eurostar.
