Liked: The breakfast was good - just don't miss it becasue its only until 10! The staff were also really friendly and helpful in pointing out some places to go.

Disliked: The floor in the dorm was really dirty. It was full of stains and the carpet was peeling up in a few places. The bed had a big bow in the middle of it was quite uncomfortable (not to mention incredibly creaky) to sleep on. The kitchen also did not have an oven - big inconvenience if you want to cook one of the cheap pizzas from Tesco which every other backpacker normally seems to do.

Liked: Good place to stay, near train station. Nice beds with separate bathroom and shower. Has a normal breakfast (really good coffee). Has laundry room

Disliked: A little noisy, but nothing that disrupts sleep.

Liked: Location in city centre / students area. The antique front of the building.

Disliked: It was a noisy floor with lots of drunks running and screeming in the corridor during the night from 3 to 6 AM. The room had been cleaned but still smelled like a puke-pit. Probably all due to Halloween parties in the weekend. The car-parking across the street doesn't look very charming.

Liked: Helpful staff, clean rooms and bathroom, separate bathroom and shower, adequate breakfast included in the price. Lovely communal rooms downstairs but it was very quiet so we didn't meet anyone else. Great value for money. Nice that the beds were made up already.

Disliked: There were no individual lamps, which would have made it less disruptive when coming in after others were asleep. Not much atmosphere but we couldn't really tell because we were in a group anyway.

Liked: Great place, near the train station

Disliked: There was a group of students in my floot. It was impossible to sleep. But I just talked to the staff and they removed us to a higher floor, problem solved.

Liked: Great location between Lime Street Station and the shopping district. About 15 minutes walk from the docks. Decent kitchen for cooking, good breakfast as well with nice coffee. Staff were really friendly and the shower was also quite good.

Disliked: Our bathroom had obviously been recently fitted out, but was quite damp and a little mouldy and looked like it needed more ventilation. Parts of the hostel could use some work. Our room also had a strange green security light that stayed on all night. You should be ok if you don't have a room with this strange light (108). Try to get a room with an odd number if you can, as these looked like there was more light in the morning (ours was a bit dark). The kitchen could use some more saucepans - we cooked our pasta in a wok.

Liked: As a group we were looking for a cheap, yet good hostel in the centre of Liverpool City, and that is what we found. The most thing we liked was the cleanliness, and the free all-day coffee!!

Disliked: There is nothing in particular that we disliked, but the hostel could work upon being more friendly!!

Liked: very well located, and the staff is nice

Disliked: what completely ruined my stay is that they let in completely drunk people who are loud, unrespectful and sometimes aggressive towards the people resting in the place. the person at the reception enter the room, switch on the lights in the middle of the night and started controlling the receipts. feels quite unsafe, and it is annoying for sure

Liked: There are lots of common areas. The beds are sufficiently comfy. It's close enough to both train stations and the city centre. The breakfast is minimal, but it's included in the price.

Disliked: Charging 5 pounds a day for internet is ludicrous.

Liked: Excellent staff service, helpful and friendly...strongly recommended for those backpackers and travellers. value for money which included breakfast.

Liked: Great kitchen and generous breakfast! Good location! Room was in the basement, but spaceous and had its own bathroom -nice! The staff was always friendly and helpful, seems that the Hatters "chain" staff member are in general because we could even store our luggage at Hatters in Manchester the following day although not being checked in any more!

Disliked: Unfortunately it was not possible to close the windows for sleeping so got a little bit cold at night. And I wished there had been plugs in the bathroom for hair-dryer...
