Liked: Can be a place to meet people and travel together and a starting point to go hiking or cycling in the area. It's close to the town centre and not far from the bus station.

Liked: Very friendly welcome and very helpful staff. I had a very pleasant stay here. It was nice to sit in the lounge with the fire and chat to a few others staying there. Good location to the town centre.

Liked: Very friendly, comfortable, family run. Ideal location near shops, but also close to lake Windermere and country walks. We had a great view out of our window. The beds were comfortable and even the showers were not bad.

Liked: Internet was free. You could watch Sky TV in the main area, which basically sucked! The town of Ambleside is quite a posh town, or rather ski town with no comercialization whatsoever, so don't think you can go to a fastfood joint.
