This spacious 17th century building is tucked away on the edge of the city and is surrounded by tranquil grounds. A walk along the historic ship canal or expansive River Exe (where herons and kingfishers sometimes linger) will lead you towards the Quay and the beautiful cathedral in the heart of the city. The centre is only a 10-minute bus ride away and has many intriguing attractions to explore:
- the Royal Albert Memorial Museum
- Safe cycle routes,
- Powderham Castle,
- The east and south Devon coasts and rugged Dartmoor are all within easy visiting distance.
