The Residences are situated close to the University of Brighton’s study and sports facilities in a residential area of Eastbourne. The Welkin Halls of Residence are well designed, secure and set in pleasant grounds in a peaceful location within easy reach of the town centre and sea front.
355 en-suite rooms located within 62 shared flats with between 4 and 7 rooms sharing each flats communal kitchen. Of these rooms there are 13 larger rooms with double beds and 6 rooms designed specifically for disabled users
Each flat has a shared kitchen. Bedrooms have en-suite facilities comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. Bedrooms are provided with bed, wardrobe, wall-fitted angel-poise lamp, full length mirror, large worktop with drawers under, chair, bookcase and overhead storage shelf. All rooms have a TV point and connection to the University’s computer network.
Welkin Halls of Residence has: On-site management and maintenance team. Site management office and reception area is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Electronic locking system on gates, external entrances and front doors to flats. CCTV surveillance. Each of the blocks is served by a lift, as well as staircases, to reach the upper floors. On site laundry facility. Good access to local facilities and transport.
