The Belgrave Hotel reflects Cestrian links with the Westminster family, being named after the Earl of Belgrave, a title given to the first grandson of a living Duke of Westminster.

The Belgrave Hotel started life as the Washington Hotel (being renamed in 1979) and was re-opened by the current Duke of Westminster.

The Belgrave has been extensively modernised but has managed to retain the character and charm of the original building, which is over 100 years old.

Our aim is to make your stay in Chester as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Our friendly staff will ensure that you are made to feel "at home" for the duration of your stay with us.

Our Olde Worlde dining room serves a full English breakfast every morning (included in the price of your stay).

The relaxed atmosphere of our Regency Bar means you can relax and unwind after a hard day's shopping or sightseeing.

If you would prefer you can also sit and relax in our guest lounge. If you would like tea or coffee, a member of staff will bring them in to you.

We also have a function room available for hire, for all occasions such as weddings, birthdays and Christmas parties. Entertainment is also available on some evenings but please check at reception when you arrive.

All of our bedrooms are en-suite (some have showers and others have baths, so if you have a specific preference we will do all we can to ensure that you get your choice.). The rooms also have tea/ coffee making facilities, color television, radio, intercom, direct dial telephone and central heating.
