hostel reception is open between 7h30 and 23h00 Monday to Friday and 8h00 to 23h00 Saturday to Sunday and on public holidays. NOTE: Photo ID is required on checking in (passport or drivers licence). Please mind that we don't take people under 16 on dorm rooms, they're more than welcome to book a private. If you are a wedding group (Stag/ Hen Group) special terms and conditions apply, therefore you must book through the website groups department or get in touch with the hostel directly. If you fail to do so and still book here on line, your reservation maybe cancelled and deposit not refund.

About Kipps Hostel

We are located about 10 minutes walk to the famous Canterbury Cathedral and the Town Center , situated in a quiet residential area of Canterbury.
Set in a beautiful 120 year old town house, we offer a wide range of budget accommodation from dormitory rooms to single and double/twin rooms, - suitable for both groups and individuals.

Kipps is an ideal base to explore the Kent Countryside known as the "Garden of England". Seaside resorts of Whitstable and Herne Bay are within easy cycling distance and for the more adventurous by foot..
A Short bus/ train ride will also take you to attractions like Dover Castle, Leeds Castle and Dover Cross Channel Port for easy day trips to France.

The hostel reception is open between 7h30 and 23h00 Monday to Sunday and on public holidays. There is no Curfew! Please note that all the common areas are closed after 11pm.
CHECK IN TIME: After 2pm
Please note we clean the hostel daily between the hours of 11am-2pm.
NOTE: Photo ID is required on checking in (passport,drivers license or Student ID including UK and EU residents).
Important Information:
Under 16’s are not allowed in dormitory rooms, even if accompanied by an adult. You will need to book a private room. You will not be checked in to the hostel, so please do not reserve a dormitory room if you have children under 16 years of age.
ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION IS PROHIBITED AFTER 11PM ON THE PREMISES!

Kipps is an ideal centre from which to explore the Kent Countryside known as the garden of England. Parking is free on road with restrictions applying only from 1200hrs to 1600hrs on weekdays.
Seaside resorts of Whitstable and Herne Bay are within easy cycling distance with regular bus services from Canterbury. Further fields are Dover castle and Dover cross channel port for easy day trips to France.
