Liked: location

Disliked: probably one of the worst hostels i have ever stayed at. Felt like you were sleeping in a hospital room and can feel every single spring in the mattress. Also the bathrooms are co-ed but that wasnt too bad. The worst of it all is that there are bed bugs. I have stayed at many hostels and this is the only one i have ever had this problem. Don't recommend staying here although i do no there are not many choices for Bristol

Liked: friendly staff, close to city center and most of the main attractions very clean rooms, lots of people to meet good kitchen to cook your own food

Disliked: the showers weren't clean and it was very hard to adjust the temperature of the water

Liked: Heating did not work at all,but staff did everithing they could to help.

Disliked: There was a disco on the main floor till about 4:00am and my room just above it.That is a wrong place to get sleep and wrong place for a hostel.

Liked: nothing!

Disliked: this was absolutely one of the worst hostels i have ever stayed in! there is a nightclub downstairs till 3am which is fine, but you can hear it everywhere in the hostel even when you're trying to sleep. not only that, we had booked 3 beds but when we got back there was someone else asleep in one of them... we advised the hostel staff who were extremely rude and unhelpful and ended up putting one of us in a giant warehouse style room that was obvoiusly undergoing renovation with cardboard boxes and timber cut offs everywhere. my friend was too scared to sleep there so sat in the common room until 4am and attempted to sleep on the couch, only to told she wasnt allowed to do so. eventually they put her in another bed in another room - by this time it was 5am! the facilities are also dirty and there is no breakfast included.

Liked: It os in the city center near of the shopping area and close to clubs and pubs

Disliked: It is a bit old, and a man stole my bed!

Liked: Good location....

Disliked: the angry staff, the person sleeping in my overbooked bed when I got back to the hostel, the loud banging on the wall at night, the hostile response from the staff when we said we weren't pleased with our stay.

Liked: on first entering the rooms it was impossible to work out which beds where taken there was pillows and blankets thrown on all beds with no allocation we just sifted through and hoped no one else was sleeping there. the shower in our room was clean enogh but had no hot water at all and the shared shower block was severly leeking on to the carpet outside making the whole hallway smell of stale wet carpet.

Disliked: the directions fron the website were useless the streets we were told to take didnt exist. and the staff on the front desk obviously worked at the bowling alley not the hostel cos they did not have a clue.

Liked: It's location is perfect. But that's about it!

Disliked: The place is very run-down. Curtains hang down from the windows where there are missing hooks, so you cannot close them. The floors in the bedrooms are dirty, and there was a leak from a pipe hanging from the ceiling. The shower rooms are disgusting! The carpet in the hallway outside them is completely soaked, so it squelches under your feet. The shower rooms are not very clean, and the actual shower trays became blocked very quickly (most likely the cause of the water in the hallway!!).

Liked: especially liked the location, very centric, and the friendliness of the staff.

Disliked: cleanliness was awful, the toilets were so disgusting i didnt feel like having showers (i did, though). the duvets were dirty in some cases too, though we would cover them with clean pillow cases and linen.

Liked: nothing.

Disliked: Starting our travels through England, we had so far stayed in some nice places but this was by far the worst place. We arrived, after finding our own way to the hostel after quickly figuring out they had provided us with directions that simply couldn't be followed; to find our room down a dark hallway tripping over dirty underwear to get to the door. We woke up early to leave as soon as possible, finding all the carpet outside of our room soaked and stinking from water overflowing from the 'bathrooms' around the corner. Needless to say we definatly got what we paid for.

Liked: It was relatively cheap and the rooms was sort of clean. The common room was nice and big. Internet.

Disliked: The toilets was full and rather unclean. The showers were quite filthy as well.

Liked: Cheap, maybe cheapest bed in Bristol in dorms (15£/night, 65£/week), nice kitchen, nice parties by night, finishing quite early so not a problem to sleep.

Disliked: I'm french and the staff didn't make great efforts so as me to understand them, but that's all. Expected quite expensive drinks but i'm not used to UK prices yet so maybe normal

Liked: Beds were comfortable

Disliked: Staff was not overly helpful; We arrived late at night and even though we sent an e-mail saying so the door was locked and the door bell didn't work. We only got in because someone luckily happened to be exiting the hostel. Staff also did not have change so we had to go out and break a bill so we could pay them the exact amount.

Liked: There's a bowling alley downstairs! This place is really great. Also there's a convenient coin laundry.

Disliked: Not very clean bathrooms, no breakfast like at most hostels but loads of cheap cafes are near.

Liked: Really nice staff, good location, cheap prices, nice kitchen/common room

Disliked: Small rooms, no lift, really noisy and cold in the rooms, broken doors in many bathrooms/toilets, smells a bit in the corridor

Liked: The motel had a good bar and bowling centre, and had a good disco in the evening.

Disliked: We booked a 6 man dorm but ending up in a 8 man dorm with two complete strangers. We also woke up in the morning with another stranger in our room, He said that they never change the codes on he doors so he stays in peoples rooms for free. Reception knew he did this but couldn't stop him.
