Liked: this is quite a groovy little place for young people, having a bowling alley and good bar on the ground floor, lots of music (loud), and sometimes live bands, cider festivals, etc, having once been a club. Rooms and breakfasts, (cost not included), were nice.

Liked: Everything you need is just a stones throw away. Comfortable bed. Construction work spoils an otherwise nice atmosphere but it's not too bad. Loud weekend parties if you're into that.

Liked: Good Value for money and staff were really helpful and friendly.Great for Stag/Hen do's, not for a peaceful nights sleep. Also facilities were basic and still being built, not enough showers to go around so far.

Liked: Very helpfull and friendling staff, it's very nice they have late registration, and I think it' s very nice place to stay in Bristol for few days, especially if you have a great company.

Liked: Rock n Bowl is the name, so I was curious to stay at this place whilst in Bristol for a night. It is probably the most central location in Bristol only 2 minutes from the bus station and right on the edge of the quirky old part of Bristol. Signage to find the place could be a bit better. Rooms are big, fresh yet basic. Slept well. I can imagine that weekends are a bit louder.The row of private shower rooms was only partially completed but a much better idea than communal shower rooms. No guest lounge is a minus, but we hung out in the cool bowling alley on the ground floor which has free wifi and cheap pizzas with our room cards.Staff seems to be local and are great with the nightlife tips.The Rock n Bowl is still polishing itself up but this is reflected in the price... £10 per night is a bargain.

Liked: Brilliant value for money and great experience. Would recommend this above any other of the bigger more well known hostels in the area. The atmosphere was brilliant and anyone staying or passing through Bristol should not miss it!

Liked: Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The central location makes ideal for experiencing the attractions and nightlife Bristol has to offer. Great value for money. Would definately recommend and return in the future.

Liked: I liked the location and thought the facilities such as the bowling and karaoke along with the 1950s theme was great, but thought the breakfast was lacking and the rooms weren't up to standard.Seemed to be in the process of renovation so would like to return at a future date to see if any change had been made.

Liked: I liked the central location and the spaciousess of the building.I would have liked more information re car parking facilities. I think this motel will be lovely once the renovations are completed, however the smell of glue was very strong.There are not enough showers for the number of rooms.

Liked: ITS A NEW HOSTEL AND WAS STILL HAVING PARTS OF IT BUILT, THIS DIDN'T HOWEVER AFFECT MY STAY, WHEN THE WHOLE PLACE IS UP AND RUNNING SHOULD BE FANTASTIC, WILL WANT TO GO THERE AGAIN TO SEE IT COMPLETED

Liked: The staff were really friendly and in a great location. the main problem was that it was still under construction so it felt a bit like staying on a buliding site would stay there in the future though when it was all done.

Liked: We were in the hostel the night the hostel opened, and this is why it wasn't that clean: not everything was ready yet. Further it was really noisy. But the athmosphere was great, and the hostel is in Bristol-centre, which makes it very easy to reach. Also the staff was very helpfull and nice. I think we would go back if we would be in Bristol again!!

Liked: This is a great hostel if you are looking for a cheap way to spend the night. It doesn't have a kitchen or a washing machinge, but I spend the night on the first days the hostel was open, so perphaps that has yet to be installed.The girl that runs the plays is the nicest en most helpful person you'll ever meet and what better way to start the day with, then a game of bowling?
