Liked: This hostel was great - it was very close to a lot of the pubs and clubs in Bristol - at most around 15 minute walk. Shop nearby, and the Old City with the new shopping centre! Brilliant place and would recommend.

Liked: A very nice hostel in a great location. Beds were great here. Showers very hot and great pressure. Bathrooms were not so clean and it would be great if there were some power sockets in there. The staff were really friendly when they were at reception. Sometimes even ringing the bell at reception for 10 minutes would not get their attention. Security seems to be a bit of a issue. The common room is good and the local trades man are great for a laugh. Just don't mention Manchester FC.

Liked: Historic Building, Location, Lounge Room with ping pong! Bar and Bowling an plus. Bristol is a great city for a few days.

Liked: I was really disappointed by this hostel but I have to say that it is close to the city center so it is easy to move around ... Except that I just want to say : The cleanliness of the room's floor and of the showers was bad ...like it was not cleaned since few days !

Liked: no lockers in rooms, self kitchen was closed due to leak, common room just opened very poor atmosphere, decoration and furniture, no tv.Bring earplugs due to downstairs concerts if you want sleep.

Liked: The location was very convenient to the city centre, once I finally managed to find it (the directions were impossible!) The staff were quite nice as well.

Liked: Nice & handy for town & reasonable priced, bit noisy though with bowls & cinema in same building on certain nights, can be a bit cold at night as some rooms have 2 heaters right next to each other but rest of big room nothing, lockers avail but bring own padlock, but been b4 & will b back

Liked: When I stayed at this hostel I requested a female only dorm but was given a mixed dorm. I accepted this without advising staff until a man in the dorm room I was in was conducting inappropriate behaviour under his blanket while watching something on his laptop and I asked to change rooms. The hostel in general smelt bad and the bathroom facilities were appalling. My bedding consisted of 2 duvet covers and no sheet so I had to scavange off another bed. The bathroom in my dorm had 3 toilets: one had a door missing, the other two had loose toilet seats and really disgusting toilet bowls. The light in the shower room didnt work and the best bit of my stay was having a hot shower which is generally a given but after experiencing one bad thing after the other this was actually an unexpected surprise. If I were to say good things about this place its that the security is good and the location is handy. I chose this hostel because it was the cheapest one I could find and I guess you could say I got what I paid for. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL TO ANYONE - DONT BE SUCKED IN BY THE LOW COST, ITS NOT WORTH IT!!

Liked: Hostel itself has very nice atmosphere, bur rooms are really simple. In room where I stayed was´t any locker to put stuff in. Basically, only place to put things was under bed. But was clean, people were helpful, great location. I guess, for money paid it´s alright.Helpful would be to give more precise directions to find guest house.
